Dr. Clark was a perfectionist to say the least. If you were going to sing for God...you were going to do it in excellence or "go have a seat". LOL Honest to goodness, we were in rehearsal and they were joking and not "hitting the note right". When I tell you, out of nowhere a shoe came off of Dr. Clark's foot, past my head, and hit someone in the row behind me. ROFL. Let's just say we got the note right after that LOL. I miss that type of excellence...not because we were "professionals", but because we were giving our gifts, talents, service, ministry, praise & worship to the only true and living KING. He deserves excellence and she taught us how to serve despite our inadequacies or how we may have felt at times. TRUE MINISTRY!

I REMEMBER THERE WAS A CONVOCATION AND IT WAS A COMBINED COGIC FROM ALL OVER THE STATES AND I DIDN’T GET A CHANCE TO GO, BUT ONE OF OUR CHOIR MEMBERS CAME BACK HOME (A MALE CHOIR MEMBER) TO OHIO AND WITNESS THE SAME SHOE BEING THROWN FROM SOMEONE NOT GETTING THE RIGHT KEY. I WONDER IF THAT WAS THE SAME TIME UNLESS MATTIE DID IT MORE THAN ONCE... WE LAUGHED WHEN IT WAS TOLD FROM HIM. I THINK SOME WENT TO MICHIGAN.

I use to love when the elder 🧓 choir sing 🎤 come out with this morning when I rose I didn’t have no doubt and this old building and let me not forget your GREACE and mercy beautiful moments of back in the day church ⛪️ I still remember how the Mothers of the church talked to the young woman and the sinners coming into the church ⛪️ ..... songs like this really did and still do save people life love it

The movie... OMG! Amazing! Aunjanue Ellis portrays this mighty woman so incredibly on point that it’s almost scary. Great woman of God and aunjanue is a great actress.

She was so anointed and powerful and easy to work with. I love the short time I was able to learn under her.

She know she can sing that song like no other! She paced that song with beautiful phrasing and tone totally masking her limited range. A true professional! Beautiful voice!

My aunt is on this choir omg,and my older sister was the one that had the shoe thrown at her....and Dr Mattie look just like my mother yet alone they was friends..

All I can say is wow! Dr. Clark was an Awesome Woman of God!! I am so glad I was able to share the experience of the anointing this woman of god could bring to a choir!! There was no lip synching in her choir workshops lol. She will tell you from the jump I'm here to work and you need to be serious too and sing in honor to the lord. She gave her all and so did the choirs she worked with! I thank god for the skills she taught me to be the person I am today, I will carry her in my heart forever thank you lord for the one and only Dr.Mattie Moss Clark!

Grew up in the COGIC. Wouldn't take "nothin" for my journey. I miss Dr. Clark. A legend in her own right. I remember when Rev. James Moore sang this. I can reach my goal. All things are possible through Christ Jesus our Lord. Hallelujah!!

Yesss I grew up on this music and after that Lifetime movie I can’t get enough of it

I recently watched the movie and I commend these women of God, for holding their mom's name up thank you Jesus😔🌸🎓 because my Minister got rest her great soul from Brooklyn New York . G.o.g.i.c she knew this lady and I've come across people that knew of this lady ...and I think her family is incredible Kierra ...Sheards God bless that young Lady. and all of her children.mm God is AWESOME ☺️ The Clark Sisters'... are the business Man ..... call it what you want!!! I remember as a young adult it was a New year's Eve service and one of them came to the church in New York City and sung my cup runneth over and it was other great ones on the panel with her I'm just grateful to be in A living the witness... the TRUTH ..
