Dr Lwazi Lushaba response to Prof. Kwesi Kwaa Prah - "Generations of African Scholars"

Dr Lushaba talks of "Three Generation of African Scholars" the first generation being the ones who went to school in their colonial countries under colonialism and most of them would go to Universities abroad mostly in US and Europe and would come back to their country immediately after dependence.
Dr Lushaba continues to argue that, 'they are the once who are beneficiaries of localisation/Africanisation in their countries. These are those who returned took over from European Professors in their respective countries.

Ey dankie Dr Lwazi Lushaba you have made a great analysis and robust thought and engagement in the generational transition of African scholars and certain scholars who view themselves as the ones with the autonomy over thought.

With respect I fail to see ho Prof BW Vilakazi who learned from SEK Prof Mqhayi failed, given that the Xhosa language had hundreds of years to develop as a written language but to this day Zulu as a language only has one known dictionary by none other and this feat achieved before 40 yrs on the is earth. Maybe one has to ask the second and third generation of scholars but to blame the first is just a cope out I am sorry Dr Lushaba. In no way one can attribute the first generation that laid the foreground that to this day we still depend on, what have the generation of post-colonial Africa done?
