    38:20 - 39:00 There is an illumination upon the deepest of truths here that reveals something Divine. I can only hold it in my understanding for a split-second. Dr. Peterson is a treasure of western civilization and one of its greatest ambassadors to the rest of the world. He has taught me to be a lover of truth.

    @@jerrygreene1493 they don't have to attend to you. He is emotional because he actually cares about his listeners and deeply means what he is saying. Courage is fundamental to those that take on the terrifying burden of life, those that take on responsibility, which is something a far leftist would never understand as it has to do with individual sovereignty. Truth is what you confront actuality with in order to bring about a good order, but truth is not decided by you but is known subconsciously by you, which is again something the far left and left altogether miss completely, that is why they oppose free speech, because they don't believe truth can be brought fourth by the sovereign individual, to them thinking is not for the individual. The value of the individual is being undermined and truth tossed away leaving young people hopeless and sad and suicidal which is what got to him, and many of us watching, because we genuinely care about the well being of others. But i can see why u would miss all that, how could you ever relate.

  • @KingKaii2x

    @KingKaii2x

    The Molecule FX boulder based off what I read(and read both of your comments multiple times) you seem to be focused more on not what he says, but more on how he said it(which is the biggest flaw in your “argument” if you can call it that). And since you seem to focus more on his views on hierarchies out of the 2+ hrs of dialogue, I’ll rebuttal that. He never said capitalism don’t result in hierarchies, just that, that and the west are not to Blame. For someone who pointed out multiple times the level of which people understand hierarchies place in nature and biology you would’ve understood something so simple. Now to address your disagreement on competence being the main factor in creating a hierarchy and not power. Competence brings about more chances to achieve some modicum of power and your place on the hierarchy “totem pole” determines the level of power of which you can control. Power is the potential end result of both of those. Power doesn’t equal competence, and competence is a very important factor in how long someone can keep that power. You come off as biased because(for whatever reason) your disdain for Jordan Peterson

  • @KingKaii2x

    @KingKaii2x

    3 жыл бұрын

    The Molecule FX boulder you said “this is how a smart person would say it” which indicates what he said wasn’t wrong but that you had a problem with how he worded it. That’s 1 example of you focusing on how he said something, instead of what was said. You also made the statement that it is elementary level knowledge that animals arrange themselves into hierarchies, but yet you can’t understand that saying “capitalism and the west are not to blame for hierarchies” is not the same as saying “capitalism and the west don’t produce hierarchies”. He understands quite well that they do, but that they are not the main driving force in hierarchies in all. Which for whatever reason people like to blame for hierarchies and it’s completely asinine. Which is also why he referenced the lobsters, that the lady from GQ brought up btw not the other way around. Then you claiming that Peterson thinks the west is a tyrannical oppressive patriarchy tells me that you haven’t viewed or read enough of his works to be credible enough to have the gall to criticize his intelligence. Which is quite ironic that in that very same video(and many others) he denounces that the west is as such.

  • @KingKaii2x

    @KingKaii2x

    The Molecule FX boulder in what ways is he wrong and he didn’t say capitalism doesn’t create inequity? Please do cite that in case that part flew by me, but I doubt it. In regards to tyrannical oppressive society in the west, he didn’t say that it exists and again if he did, cite the source. In the very video you brought up yourself he denounces that claim as he does in a multitude of videos on KZread.

They’re too busy and distracted to see it and all these companies are trying to make them happy but it’s only making the majority of customers with no doubts angry and not buy anything or want anything to do with them, which makes the companies lose money. One of her questions was in regards to why he's so popular, and the answer is simple: even if you have never heard a particular thing, whether it's true or not will resonate within your core. Dr Peterson speaks the truth, the radical left (and radical right) do not. Truth bears witness to itself, cannot deny itself, and tunes our beings to its frequency because we were designed this way to receive it... like a radio.

    I do kind of wish Peterson would rant less. Sometimes he’ll spend ten minutes setting up an idea and then ties it back into the question asked 10 minutes ago all wam bam bazooka Sam awesome like but he also often goes off on tangents and never ends up touching the question asked. Not in a dodging sort of way because he always handles an accusation head on but sometimes it’s like “Hello Dr. Peterson. I just wanted your opinion on toilet paper and what brand you like the best.” “Well..... gahhh...... well it depends on what camp you hail from. First off. What kind of world do you want to live in? A comfortable one? Or a stable one.(?) Karl Marx would use the extra soft comfortable toilet paper even though it flakes off on your asshole but that’s what the social constructionist types do and it’s appalling......” eventually going off on a tangent about how important community is and how life sucks so try to make it not and never really ends up answering the question instead of just being like “I don’t like the extra soft kind because it flakes off on my asshole and causes me dingle berries. I find quilted northern to be a happy medium”.

    I will watch it, but so far I didn't see much hope arising from his narrative. Peterson would gain much more credibility if he would use his massive popularity for addressing the main issue that the Far-Left has brought upon the Western world: the alarming process of Islamising the West. But so far I have heard him mentioning Islam only once, even then in a very apologetic way, meanwhile pretending that he knows almost nothing about Islam - an absurd claim that is very hard to believe, especially when it comes from such a prolific scholar and thinker as Peterson is. (Also see my longer comment on this thread.)

Opposed to the unreasonable demands of being forced to call people by their preferred pronouns, which can change at any moment because.... fluidity. The list of pronouns continues to grow, as do the number of genders. It's non-sensical and contrary to reason and science. There are universal truths which can't ever be changed, hence the term universal truth. Try as one might, one cannot change natural law. Moral relativism is dangerous, not rooted in truth, and it must be exhausting to live in the head of someone who tries to keep up with this ever-changing chaos that's rife with inconsistencies. Cambridge University released a statement that included their main reason for their decision, and it had to do with a "selfie" Peterson had taken with a person who had a "hate speech" t-shirt on. I would bet that Peterson didn't even read the t-shirt. What a bunch of liberal trash at Cambridge who were just looking for a reason.

    This was an amazing talk! I learned and understand so much more about myself and my responsibility to life. I have often heard people ask, "How is life treating you?" I changed that to, "How are you treating life?" You wouldn't believe the number of people that have just stopped in their tracks and pondered that question. THAT is what this lecture is all about. How are we treating the life that we have been given by our Father in Heaven? Are we working with Him to create order out of chaos? Are we striving each day to live up to our potential? I loved what he said around minute 37 with regard to a 40 year marriage. My wife and I just passed that mark a few months ago. And YES! that is indeed a victory of character for both of us. It's never been easy, for either one of us. But we do love each other and take good care of each other to the best of our abilities.

When did challenging all people to live up to the standard in which they expect others to become far right ideologies? Shouldn't we all strive to be honest, courageous, and self reflective.
