I worked with many great musicians in my career and I appreciate all the comments this video receives. It was among my favorites in particular because of Mac and Rick Danko's performance. It never fails to get me moving.

I was lucky enough to have brought the complete concert on DVD. The good doctor here is in great form playing this classic with a stage full of legends. This band is really the best of all Ringo's all star bands.

Man this. Rings me back. I’m so grateful to be from New Orleans. This was always playing when my family get together. Let it be for crawfish boils, Christmas, or just a birthday. It reminds me of the good times and family. My parraine and marraine would always act out the part of them on the bayou 😂

R.I.P. Dr. John, born Malcolm John Rebennack, {November 20th,1941 - June 6th, 2019}... Between 1972 and 1974 the New Orleans native had four records on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, one made the Top 10, "Right Place Wrong Time", it peaked at #9 {for 2 weeks} on June 24th, 1973 and spent twenty weeks on the Top 100... His three other Top 100 records were "Iko Iko" {#71 in 1972}, "Such A Night {#42 in 1973}, and "(Everybody Wanna Get Rich) Rite Away" {#92 in 1974}...

...and look out for "Trombone Shorty" (Troy Andrews). Whew! He tore it up with Jeff Beck two years ago at NOLA Jazz Fest, and recently at Voodoo Fest NOLA with Foo Fighters. He's going to be playing withe the FOOs 4th of July in D.C.

+Roger Steinbrink Bayou st john is beautiful man! I live in the cbd now i grew up out in the 3rd ward in Lakeview. Yea he was! I had the pleasure if meeting Alan one night when he played with Mac (dr john) uptown at Tipitiana's, we met em both. I grew up with Art Neville's yougest son Ian and he was able to get us backstage to see him. They were great that night!

Yeah, God Bless them all! I've never seen a bad show from any of our great, local legends. Met Mr. Allen at the Parkway Bakery one day. What a nice, down-to-earth Gentleman. Always a smile, and a good word for everybody. Sigh... reminds me of our good friend Coco who passed away right around this time not too many years ago.

I saw this iteration when they came to Long Island. Truly a spectacular show. I love "the band", so seeing Levon, Rick, and Garth was an added bonus. The version that this group of all-stars did of "the weight" was amazing. I remember "the big man" brought the house down when he took a solo. A memorable night for sure...😎

I watched this with mixed emotions. Fantastic version of New Orleans classic, but it's tough to watch knowing that we've lost about half of the incredible talents on that stage. Levon, Danko, Preston, Clemons have all left us.

My girlfriend and I were up one night and heard the good Dr. pumping this out on KXT in Dalas. The next day I had to listen to it and am so happy that this version is out there. Very bittersweet to see Rick, Levon, and Clarence kicking ass on their respective axes. Thank you for posting.
