Dr. Jean-Luc Marion - Part 1: "The Gift and the Economy"
Dr. Jean-Luc Marion presents the keynote address at the 38th Annual Philosophy-Theology Symposium at Walsh University on Friday, April 19, entertaining such questions as: How does the idea of the gift relate to love? How is the idea of the gift central for theology today? Is a pure gift really possible, and if so, what does it look like? He also highlighted his original concept of the "Saturated Phenomenon."

Jean-Luc Marion is a genius!!!
wonderful. I like the way he slowly builds his argument. He does not claim to post a universal, though implicit is the usefulness for everyone of the Christian gift, giving of love, which goes beyond the (necessary) but limited logic of justice. Fascinating and provocative.
