So, I read the comments first cracking up because I know Cole doesn't play when it comes to musicians. I was afraid to watch because I know it can get awkward every now and again lmbo! But I'm here to say it wasn't awkward at all. She rolled right along with it, voice was voicing, poor organist caught on towards the end. I did laugh when Bishop turned to look at the musician though. I just hated how quiet the people got while she was talking trying to keep the church engaged. Love her!!! Thanks for always posting

Who was on the organ ? ??

Musicians listening to this would identify that the organist caught the key immediately and was in the right key the entire time. Some of the passing stuff was different that her recording maybe, but the beauty of an organ is that you can draw chord progressions out. Totally an assumption that she was referring the the organist with the “slap” line

I think it is obvious she kept looking back in the direction of the organist. If this was audio only, as a musician myself, I would tell you he did not give her what she is accustomed to therefore causing her to be not as effective in her delivery. She performed this song at West Angeles church with the original musician that recorded it with her, Michael Bereal just a few weeks before this convocation and wore it out.

That’s the problem. Performing and not worshipping. Believe me I have had to play with some musicians who probabaly haven’t practiced in 25 years …. Trust me on that one. But I was there to lead into worship and not be as perfect as I would like it to be

Sometimes as a musician if you’re not sure about how to flow with or play a particular song for an artist such as her, it’s best to either not play altogether or see if another musician is able to cover for you. The musician can clearly play however he just seems a little unsure of how the verse goes. It happens to us all at some point, just put your pride to the side and stop playing or let another musician cover for you, it’s the convocation plenty of other musicians available that could potentially have your back

The organist might’ve not have been on key or playing the right thing. But he WAS PLAYING. He still sound good. Just the wrong song maybe lol

Bishop said “Musician horrible.” 😂

Now I love me some Dorinda but girl you know you was wrong for the way you just started singing that song in the wrong key putting the musician on the spot to play it and then got annoyed when he didn't play it to the standard of the record. A little grace would've been nice.

I have to disagree. The musician didn’t know the song and was all over the place which is why she kept looking back at him and even pointed down to try and help him. He didn’t follow her like he was supposed to. I’ve seen her call out musicians so I think she gave him an ample supply of grace that day.
