To a native speaker of English, the concept of being "confused" denotes a comical sort of incompetence; and there is an active/passive difference between "guide" (which connotes something that could be a person, a book, a website or a philosophy) and "leader" (which is a person who actively directs activities. So one is something helpful to the uneducated or unaware; the other a hapless buffoon leading idiots. Does that help? Shalom ~a

time: 54.19: "Guide of the perplexed" or "the leader of the confused" Maybe its my English but I didn't understand why this arose laughter? What is the big difference? I understand the original was in Arabic, but if I were to translate from Hebrew I would also translate like the second version (מורה נבוכים).

Not sure if you know that Dr. Daniel but this fact of the big bang modern science emphasizes has been mentioned in the Holy Quraan in the apostles chapter verse 27 & 28 almost 14 centuries ago
