God damn it, if anybody else played Dr. Cox, this show would never have been as good as it is! Johnny C. McGinley is amazing!

4:12 "Think of what little patience I have as... Oh, I don't know, your virginity. You always thought it'd be with you, until that one night of junior year, when you were feeling a little down about yourself, and your pal, Kevin, who just wanted to be friends, well he brought over a copy of 'About Last Night' and a four pack of Bartles and Jaymes. And 😆🤌👉💫, *bahhh-dow!* It was gone forever... 😒Just like my patience is now."
The first rant felt like getting yelled at by my own dad, but it hit so much harder because you know Cox is genuinely disappointed for JD's own sake meanwhile my parents are disappointed in me if i make them look bad

chronicoco me too, first time I saw this episode at first I though he was being a jackass for the sake of being a jackass and then after the rant I felt as if I had disappointed Dr. Cox myself, because there was a deep reason for this and I didn't see it coming.

This lesson didn’t have context though. Dr Cox should have at least told him that he wanted JD to fill his own one out so he would learn something and not act like it wasn’t important.

Gotta say, #26 is kinda Cox's own fault. He trusted JD to change the tape, and that's asking a bit much from JD at times.

06:45 Omg, kids these days will have no clue what tabs he is talking about...
I come back and watch this channel with dr. Cox’ rants every so often. One of the best written shows I’ve had the pleasure of watching. Dr Cox is such an amazingly dynamic character, Bill Lawrence goes down in my book as a genius for giving us this show, and John C McGinley nailed the role. I still have all 9 seasons on dvd and even accidentally purchased season 3 twice (couldn’t remember if I had it so I panick bought it when I saw it at a store at the time I was trying to collect all the seasons). If anyone disagrees then you will have to feel the wrath of my mommy. No one steps on this precious flower
Elliot's face during that virginity rant. Someone is having a trip down memory lane.

I think deep down he genuinely cares and uses his form of tough love. That like a lot of the other staff he's dealing with high stress and not in the mood stupid stuff.
that Whistleling is just epic
He is though, but evil too and leads his ward with fear - because he takes responsibility and is magnificent bastard of a human being.
I forgot how much of a crush I used to have on Jordan. Daaaamn girl
Number 18 for me is a real life lesson. It really makes you think.
I always laugh when he says put the lotion on the skin and jd is like so you can do movies but I can’t 😂😂😂
Punching bag is my favorite rant from Dr Cox!

First clip. I had a mentor like that. Was my grandpa.
If Hawkeye Pierce had kept drinking after he came home from Korea--with 80% of his kindness and libido down the drain--he would have been Perry Cox.
@LilyRose8959
5 жыл бұрын
No he wouldn't. Hawkeye was never bitter or mean with his patients like Cox usually was. I love both characters, but they're nothing alike. Cox is more aligned with House than Hawkeye. Only Cox was nicer.
The great awaking,truth,
18 was more a speech than a rant
that whimper from doug.
I wish season 1 part 3 was still up
The whole video tape thing is 100% Dr. Cox's fault. He sprung that job on JD and provided the equipment. It isn't unreasonable for JD to assume that it was ready to go.
He might have been hard on JD, but he was a damn good mentor.
That takes REAL talent @4:09
@9:23 Dr. Cox endorses kneeling in difficult times.

Dr. Cox or Dr. House? And..... GO!
@amalofoto
8 жыл бұрын
First off, I love both shows (and I hate both a bit. I mean, the finale of House, season 7 is a freaking train wreck - or car/house wreck, to be precise. And the JD/Elliot on/off thing kinda puts me off scrubs, but overall, both shows are great.) Ok, so. I have to give Cox a point for having a great family - eventually. Also, he's not as much of an ass to everyone, particularly his patients as House, and he genuinely tries to teach his fellows stuff, and make them better people. House, on the other hand, is an ass to EVERYONE, and has very few moments where he shows that he cares. As for his relationships, he lets even fewer people into his life. (I blame Cuddy (or rather, the writers, because it was pretty OOC) for their breakup, they belong together imo) - and who knows what could have happened with Stacy, maybe they would have had kids or something if it were not for the infarction. But he's a very private man, definitely more so than Cox.
@amalofoto
8 жыл бұрын
And then you have to consider their totally different medical backgrounds - House is THE best in his fields, which are very special. Cox is 'just' a doctor who treats pretty much everything, at a teaching hospital where he actually teaches med students who then go through with their careers. House has doctors who have already finished their schooling diagnose obscure diseases. Cox and his mentees treats 'normal, everyday' (or how House would phrase it: BORING) sicknesses. All in all, I can't pick a favorite. Just as I love both shows, I love both characters. Sorry for writing so much, I just recently re-binge-watched both shows. Correct me if something's wrong, both language and show-wise, I'm not a native English speaker. And what's your opinion? Fire away =)
