"spiralling, chaotic and often intimidating." So true. Kinshasa can be so amazing if only the roads outside of Gombe were better and if there were larger Waste management facilities and workers. DR Congo has a serious problem with plastic trash, it clogs all the drains and is scattered throughout the roads. Grand Inga damn has a problem producing electricity because it's gears are clogged by waist floating through the river. The people just throw their trash anywhere. DR Congo also has an issue with corruption. Nothing gets done because it is almost a cultural thing to be corrupt and dishonest. Although I have met nice people here when it comes to matters of MONEY 💰 💸 do not trust the Congolese 100%

I lived for a year in Kinshasa. The people are friendly. I just hope governance would improve as there are problems when it comes to government transactions. The city is charming and the people are God-fearing.

I must say Kinshasa has the most beautiful skylines and the widest roads. I pray that all of Africa will be like that.

DRC is currently the poorest country in the world

The DRC would be a superpower if it would implement the same strategy Norway did back in the 1960s. Back then, the Labour Party mandated that all oil and gas companies operating in Norway be at least 50% owned by the government, and profits be taxed at 78%. With the natural resources the DRC has, specifically cobalt, there is no reason why you can't do this too.

@@firefox39693 No they make people poorer. Scandavian income taxes are the highest in Sweden (57%) and the lowest in norway(38%). If you look at sweden it actually has had way more economic problems than norway and denamrk. High taxes drive bussiness and income down and thats a fact. In scandavia high taxes are to pay for public services which is less of a problem since they have a few people. They have so much money and just have around 5 million people. The opposite is true for Congo. I am begging you Im anAfrican I do not like the condition Africa is in. Please leave your good intentioned destructive ideas away from Africa we have had so much of it.

Korea went through colonial rule and war like the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but it became the only country that changed from a country receiving aid to a country giving aid. I hope Korea's growth and development experience will also help DR Congo's development. I thought the whole of Congo was full of tall trees, always raining, with groups of armed young boys mining here and there. Every now and then you hear bullets rattle through the woods. Women with babies on their backs working on the mining sites. Every so often army trucks pass through the muddy roads in the woods. The soldiers are ruthless and harass the locals at every encounter, eat their food, and carry away their small herd of goats. I never thought there was single tarmacked road, let alone a city. Men, I need to travel the world. Thanks for the video.

Oui il faut un visa pour la RD Congo, mais peut-être pas pour le Congo Brazza qui fait partie, avec le Sénégal et une grande partie de l'ouest africain de la zone franc et où la circulation est + facile en tant qu'anciennes colonies françaises. Faut voir les modalités avec l'ambassade de Rdc à Dakar et "Yambi" à l'avance = bienvenue!
