I have a mean mom in my head that rant and raves at me. here I thought I was nuts but even though shes mean she keeps me out of trouble. I call her mean mom because she slammed my arm in the car door. you can loose time when these things take over too. horrible. they are a big headache literally.

No. That's not how it works. "We" did not all endure the repetitive childhood abuse/trauma that was so horrific that the only way to survive was to subconsciously form separate and distinct alternative personalities with amnesia from one another, to hold the traumatic memories.

@@Elizabeth-qh9lp um yes that's how it works. The smallest of Traumas will create fragmentation, and we all experienced some level of trauma. (Its not possible to not). Some people suffered super deep trauma, so they have several multiples.

@@jadaaleeshamindexpert7365 nope. Go read a dsm-v. It's called Dissociative Identity Disorder. (Hint: If everyone had it, it wouldn't be a disorder). Please educate yourself before spreading harmful disinformation. Here's a link to one, of many, of Dr. Ross' lectures about it if you want to learn the truth since he is one of the biggest leading experts in the field. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eKN9m5Z-oM7QosY.html

@@jadaaleeshamindexpert7365 when Dr. Ross refers to multiple personalities, he is only referring to those people who have been diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder. It used to be called Multiple Personality Disorder nearly 30 years ago now. There is no such thing really as just "multiple personalities." For someone to have DID, formerly known as MPD, they only need 2 distinct identities, or personalities, to be diagnosed, so it also has nothing to do with how many different alters one has. As long as there are 2, it's a disorder. Again, check out those Scientifically- Accredited resources that I mentioned if you actually want to learn. I was diagnosed by Dr. Ross' team over 20 years ago, so I do know what I'm talking about. It's incredibly invalidating towards people that actually have been diagnosed, which is why I'm offended that you keep spreading false information rather that has no scientific backing. And that's all the time I'll be giving this today.

Well, having DID is kind of proof for a very creative mind (and childhood trauma). And it is nothing to be ashamed of.
