Rabbi Asher keeps saying that this text is hyperbolic. The definition of hyperbole is, “Excessive exaggeration”. This text is a clear reading without exaggeration which clearly demonstrates that it is meant to be interpreted as literal.

It's important to witness to the Jews. I witnessed to one and there was unbelief. I witnessed to another Jewish person saying " He was pierced through for our transgressions......" @@carolbrock5798 esus of Nazareth' supposedly lived in what is the most well-documented period of antiquity - the first century of the Christian era - yet not a single non-Christian source mentions the miracle worker from the sky. All references - including the notorious insertions in Josephus - stem from partisan Christian sources (and Josephus himself, much argued over, was not even born until after the supposed crucifixion). The horrendous truth is that the Christian Jesus was manufactured from plundered sources, re-purposed for the needs of the early Church. It is not with a human being that the Jesus myth begins. Christ is not a deified man but a humanised god who happened to be given the name Yeshu. Those real Jesuses, those that lived and died within normal human parameters, may have left stories and legends behind, later cannibalised by Christian scribes as source material for their own hero, but it is not with any flesh and blood rebel/rabbi/wonder-worker that the story begins. Rather, its genesis is in theology itself.

Dr Brown is so clear minded and asks a very simple question *"Who else could be so highly exalted over Abraham, Moses and the angels?"* Simple and easy question from scripture. But all that happens is Romans 11 : 8. I pray the Lord opens the Rabbi's eyes. It's always possible since he's willing to have a dialogue about it.

The only intellectual honesty to be offered is this - _Is. 43;11 I, I am the LORD, and besides me there is no savior._ This one verse Brown will not discuss and if he addresses it he does the 'Christian shuffle' which is to reinterpret it (God is a plural unity) and skirt the obvious statement made. I've sent this verse to him repeatedly over the last 2 years and he will not address it.

No offense to Meza but he's unprepared for this. Brown is cherry picking the Isaiah 53 reference and shoe horning it to fit Christian doctrine - as all Christians do. The suffering servant is clear if you simply read the preceding chapters. Isaiah 44;1 But now hear, O Jacob my servant , Israel whom I have chosen! Isaiah 44;21 Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant ; I formed you; you are my servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me. Isaiah 45;4 For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I called you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me. Isaiah 48;20 Go out from Babylon, flee from Chaldea, declare this with a shout of joy, proclaim it, send it out to the end of the earth; say, “The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob!” Isaiah 49;3 And he said to me, “You are my servant , Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”

@@MrArtist1971 Those are two totally different contexts that don't connect. Israel is nowhere exalted to the level of YHWH. (Also, just to start, you misrepresented Isaiah 49:3. I don't have the energy to check the others given how lengthy this reply will be, but there is a definite narrative shift at verse 5: "And now YHWH says-he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him, to gather Israel back to himself..." This isn't talking about Israel, so 49:3 doesn't extend far enough to draw any sort of unbroken narrative from.) Moroever, the context of the suffering in 53 is of another entity suffering _for_ Israel. Isaiah starts using phrases like "for the transgression of my people" and "pierced for our trangressions": how is Israel the servant suffering for the sake of Isaiah's people when the sufferer is being portrayed as a separate being from Isaiah's people? There is also the textual evidence that Israel is referred as a female. The suffering servant is a male. Israel is the Daughter of Zion, yet the suffering servant is "he". Now that's especially important when you recognize that a sharp subject change happen at 52:13: "for YHWH will go before you". Then in the next verse the servant spoken is male (not a daughter) and he's given the language of divine exaltation. More importantly, it isn't just Christians who interpret this figure as a human being. It's messianic interpretation goes back to Judaism. In fact, I've even seen it said, and I've had it said to me, that the prophecy is about a Persian king.

@@blanktrigger8863 Yeah, interpretation and perspective casts a wide net. I don't have the energy either. These debates get tedious as they branch into increasing twists and turns. The fact remains is that Torah is the trunk, the beginning; God's commandments and laws to be obeyed. Christian and Judaic 'views' of 'whatever messiah' is a quick path to nowhere. We're called to obey the only true El - YHWH. I'm continually bombarded by Christian heresy telling me to go against the clear Words of Elohim, which I will not heed. I appreciate your well thought out points but you know where I stand. God bless you and lead you into obedience and truth and keep you from deceit.

@@MrArtist1971 The problem with that statement is that at the very least the idea of a diune YHWH is present even in Torah. It's also present very clearly in prophecy, ergo the Ancient Days sharing his divinity with the "one like a son of man". Or the divine exaltation of the suffering servant which is extremely similar to the language of the prophecy in Daniel. It has nothing to do with deceit, but rather one's willingness to see that even those who wrote the Old Testament were struggling to wrap their minds around the trinitarian nature of YHWH. If that openness isn't there, the truth evades perception.

This kind of discussion is very atypical of Christian distractions AWAY from the commandments of YHWH and down the road of interpretation. Pointless. If you're interested in the trinity I suggest you research it's origin. It's heresy and Catholic.

The rabbi keeps saying that it's not talking about one person, but it is so clear it is singular! How can he twist Scriptures like this? If God was talking about a group of prophets, He could have said so easily. The Bible is so true that Israel is blinded and hard-hearted. They will NOT believe whatever you say. No wonder Yeshua wept for Jerusalem! We will pray for Israel's eyes to be opened.

N B N B, I don’t see any of those particular words (“them in verse 8” and “deaths in verse 9”) as you say in Isaiah 53. Are you sure you’re talking about Isaiah 53 or some other chapter? Anyway, I see actually 3 “Servants” in the Scroll of Isaiah: (1), Cyrus (2). Israel (3). The Messiah for example the Scripture says, in Isaiah 49:5 and 6: “Now says Yahveh who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered to Him (for I am honorable in the eyes of Yahweh, and my God is become my strength); yes, He says, "It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth." So here we have this particular “Servant” (which the prophet Isaiah was speaking on behalf of Yahveh), was “formed in the womb” by Yahveh Himself, and was later to “to bring back Jacob (Israel) to Him (Yahveh)” so that “Israel would be restored to Him” (or gathered to Him). This Servant shall be “glorious (וְאֶכָּבֵד֙) in the eyes of Yahveh” and Yahveh “will be the Servant’s Strength.” Then the prophet Isaiah says, “And He (Yahveh) says: “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth." Therefore, The Servant HERE, could not be Israel, because at this time Israel would be out of His Favor, but is in need to be “brought back to Him” and be “restored.” Also, this cannot be Isaiah the prophet because the language used by Isaiah describes someone else. It also cannot be Cyrus because he was never “a Light to the Nations” and Yahveh’s “Salvation” to the end of the earth.” Only MY OPINION and I can say confidently that I was honest in my hermeneutical interpretation; for I desire the truth wherever IT leads. @@David-kk4dr In Isaiah 53:8 according to the Hebrew text we read: "For the transgression of my people a plague befell *them (lamo)."* And in verse 9 the Hebrew word for "death" is plural so it's literally "deaths" although it should be noted that plural in the Hebrew Bible doesn't always denote a plural in number but rather a plural in intensity. But still, the plural form of "death" here makes the most sense in the context of the passage and with the servant being called "them" in verse 8. Regarding Isaiah 49, the Prophet Isaiah is speaking here about himself. The primary purpose of the prophets was to the bring the people back to God and this is what the text is speaking about here. Even in this passage however the servant is referred to as Israel (verse 3). Isaiah is singled out because he was among the righteous of Israel who are to be a light to the nations. And the righteous of Israel are also tasked with bringing the rest of Israel back to God and that's why read that the servant/Israel of verse 3 is tasked with bringing Israel back to God (verse 5).

N B @ N B, thank you for your response. What I see in verse 8 is the Servant is condemned to death. He would be “taken away” and “cut off from the land of the living.” The latter verb (נִגְזַר֙) “He was cut off” is always used of a violent and premature death (as in 2 Kings 6:4 cutting timber or trees; 2 Chron. 26:21 King Uzziah; Psa. 88:5 regarding those who go down to the pit etc.). What is not so clear in verse 8 is how the Servant’s death is connected to his “arrest” (מֵעֹ֤צֶר the very first word in verse 8) which word is also found in Psalm 107:39, and which is defined as “to restrain; to shut up as in imprison” see also 2 Kings 17:4. So, verse 8 begins מֵעֹ֤צֶר וּמִמִּשְׁפָּט֙ (“From prison and from judgement...”). Therefore, the main possible interpretations are: (1). “Without” arrest and “without” judgment the servant was taken away, that is, he was not legally arrested and did not receive a fair trial. Or, (2). from the midst of the arrest (confinement, restraint, or oppression) and “judgement” he was taken away by death. And lastly, (3). By reason of arrest and a judgement he was taken away, that is, he was arrested and then sentenced to die. If you notice that in verse 5 it was the Servant’s suffering only, which was substitutionary; but in verse 8 it is his death itself. The servant would become, potentially the substitution of all those who committed “sins” and “iniquities” (our sins and our iniquities, v.5) “for the sin of My people (Israel) who deserved the punishment” (v.8). Again, I repeat this is my opinion and I don’t like quarreling, but I don’t mind respectful and honorable reason and debate. Shalom, David.

The builders rejected the cornerstone and then the Israelis house fell down. But then the Cornerstone was offered to the Gentiles and the Gentiles built a temple in their hearts that this world will and cannot undermine. Narrow is the path that leads to salvation.

Yes. There were such hopes. What you are unaware of is that there are (at least) four levels of interpretation. No prophets and no Halakhah may contradict His Revealed Will (Torah / Nomos in Greek) for Israel (and Sons and Daughters of Noah). Are you daring to imply that YHWH is a hypocrite, contradicting himself? Instead of propping up your foundationless BLIND FAITH, learn the facts and DARE to actually KNOW.

Isaiah 53 is a complete biography of Jesus Christ, His life, ministry, death, resurrection and prophetic telling of the Gospel. If we lost the New Testament, this one passage would allow us to reconstruct enough of the Gospel to bring someone to salvation.

T 1985 Why not both? Yeshua Messiah is both a form and a son of YHVH yet he was both and prayed to his Father YHVH in the garden before his crucifixion. He was both flesh and spirit. Yeshua always did the will of his Father, taught his word and served him unto death and resurrection. He sits at the right hand of his Father even now.

YHWH can do anything. YHWH can worship himself as elohim. Jesus had to fulfil the commandments. First being know YHWH is elohim... Or are you suggesting that YHWH Is not omnipotent? Or that Yahawashi sinned?

T 1985 This rabbi dude is wrong an you are also. Daniel 9 24-25 answers this. An the first verse on Daniel 9:26 Make an end to sins. INTERCEDE on our behalf. Then it says to Annoit the Holy of One Israel this is the Messiah. Also gave US time. From Nehemiah building the walls in Jerusalem to the time of Jesus on earth. That's prophecy is for 483 years then the clock stops short 7 years cause the prophecy first told was for 490 years . So then you see the Messiah is cut off (Die) just like Isaiah 53 says. An then it says (NOT FOR HIMSELF). He didn't die cause of anything He did .. So it wasn't for Himself it was our crimes. So He reconciles our sins.. Daniel answers Isaiah 53

The servant is clearly named. Its Jacob-Israel. God shows us the identity of His servant in Isaiah 53 by name: "For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I called you by your name, I name you” Isaiah 45:4. You will never find a mysteriously nameless, un-assigned servant in the Hebrew Scriptures. Please start with Isaiah 41. The named, righteous servant is Jacob-Israel, who God said with clarity that God had: chosen, redeemed, glorified, named, will not cast off (Isaiah 41:8-9, Isaiah 44:1, Isaiah 44:21, Isaiah 45:4, Isaiah 48:20, Isaiah 49:3). "O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant” Isaiah 44:21 God "has redeemed his servant Jacob!” Isaiah 48:20 "O Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen!” Isaiah 44:1 “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.” Isaiah 49:3 "my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I called you by your name, I name you” Isaiah 45:4 “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off.” ~ Isaiah 41:9 These are crystal clear statements from God Almighty that gives everyone a direct, very clear reference as to who the suffering servant actually is. Please remember - God always names His servants! In the Hebrew Scriptures, there were originally no chapter breaks. If you read the text unabridged, then it would be more simple for readers to understand the correct narrative. The Christian Roman Catholic and Christian protestant church religion attempt to teach you their mysterious, un-named servant and that this is a clear reference to Jesus. God identifies His servants by name. The suffering servant in Isaiah 53 is not named, because God already names His servant many times in the passages leading up to Isaiah 53. Additionally, Isaiah 53 is the main passage the Christian Church hangs their prophetic understanding of Jesus on. If the writers of the new testament thought Isaiah 53 was a clear reference to Jesus, then why wasn’t Isaiah 53 quoted at length or by passage all over the place?? We see the servant quoted by name extensively in Isaiah. It's just so clear.

I thank the Lord for showing you both to me. I had known a little of Dr White before that, but never really took much interest in his work, until I seen you both destroy the unitarians arguments in that debate. I love Dr White as well, my ONLY problem with him is how he is so easily offended by what other people think and say, especially about other so called "religions", if he could learn to overcome that and work with others as well, he'd be an unstoppable force against these heretics and their silly claims. I think the paradoxes seen in Isaiah 53 are just so beautiful. So like God to say things like this: ... Who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living ... he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days ... ... He made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death ... So, whomever is being spoken of here would (1) have no children, and yet have children; (2) be brought to the grave as a wicked person, and yet laid in the grave of the rich. Who else could this be speaking of except for our Jesus? And if this is referring to a general group of martyrs, how do these great details apply to do many people? And if this is all hyperbolic language, does not that take away from the uniqueness of the message? Why, then, would Isaiah say that this prophecy is something that people "had not [before] heard" and will have to "consider" (Isaiah 52:15), and what would cause Isaiah to ask who would believe the report if it's just hyperbolic language which could apply to any martyrs?

Good job Dr. Brown, you made your points very clear, while its nice you have these discussions and important as well, it must be frustrating when folks dance around direct questions, its like trying to nail jello to the wall, nothing seems to stick, hopefully the Rabbi will consider the text in quiet time honestly instead of dancing around the truth trying to win a losing argument or maybe its a case of the truth could cost him his position so he does not want to hear it.

Shalom, Rabbi Meza and Mr. Brown. With all due respect, you both are mistaken in the point of "Who is speaking" in Isaiah 53:1-9. To understand Isaiah 53, one should start in Isaiah 52-13. The subject speaking in the beginning of Isaiah 53 are the "kings of the nations" who will have their mouths opened of astonishment upon seeing Israel (the smallest amongst the powerful nations) raised and exalted. The kings of nations that had Israel captive are saying among themselves : "because of the transgressions of my people he was afflicted". The Midrash does not mention anything about the Messiah in Isaiah 53. This is wrong! What is said is that "My Servant" (EXPLICITLY DESCRIBED AS BEING ISRAEL SEVERAL TIMES BY ISAIAH) will be raised higher than Moses, higher than the angels, higher than the prophets of Israel. Know that according to ANY RABBINICAL COMMENTARY the "MY SERVANT" TERM USED IN ISAIAH 41-53 IS ISRAEL, AS IT IS WRITTEN EXPLICITLY IN THE TEXT OF ISAIAH. The term "MY SERVANT" does not change from Isaiah 41 through Isaiah 53, it refers always to ISRAEL. Rabbi Meza is right about the word "Messiah" does not appear NOT EVEN ONCE IN THE WHOLE TANAKH referring to the figure of the Messiah of the Jewish people. ALL the verses where the word "mashiach" appear in the Tanakh refer to a specific "anointed" person, not to the Messiah himself. NONE of the Messianic verses in the Tanakh mention the word "ha'mashiach" anywhere, but rather talks about how the world will be transformed. Mr. Brown, the last Messianic chapters of the Prophet Ezekiel clearly tell us that the Messiah will have children himself, and also will bring sacrifice offers to the Temple (the third temple) for his own unintentional sins. In Isaiah 53:11 the text says clearly that "My servant, the righteous one, by his KNOWLEDGE (NOT by his blood) SHALL CAUSE MANY TO BE JUST (many people of the nations will be just)". Shouldn't Isaiah have written "by HIS BLOOD My servant, the righteous one, shall cause many to be just" ??? ISRAEL is mentioned in the Tanakh in different ways, as individual, as a "man" (by Isaiah), as a "child" (by Hosea), as a "G-d' first born son" (by Moshe Rabeinu, in Exodus), as a "son of G-d" (by Hosea), as a "nation of priests" (by Moshe, in Exodus), as the "worm of Jacob", etc. despite all these terms are the singular, they refer to the People Israel as a group. Exodus 4:22 "22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh: Thus saith the LORD: Israel is My son, My first-born." Hosea 11:1 "1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and out of Egypt I called My son." Isiah 43 "10 Ye are My witnesses, saith the LORD, and My servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He; before Me there was no God formed, neither shall any be after Me." Pay close attention to G-d speaking to Israel "You are My WITNESSES, saith the LORD, AND MY SERVANT WHO, I HAVE CHOSEN". "My servant" is a singular term, but it referes to "My WITNESSES" in the plural... so, if you still have any doubt about the singular "My servant" described explicitly by the prophet Isaiah actually refers to a plural "My WITNESSES" (the people Israel), then I don't know what world you live in, Mr. Brown. Oh, wait, there's more if you are still in doubt about "My servant" referring to Israel. Isaiah 44:21 "21 Remember these things, O Jacob, and ISRAEL, FOR THOU ART MY SERVANT; I HAVE FORMED THEE, THOU ART MINE OWN SERVANT, O ISRAEL, thou shouldest not forget Me. And Isaiah repeats this definition of "My servant" all way through chapter 53. DO CHRISTIANS REALLY FEAR G-D??? If they did, they would NEVER DARE TO interpolate Jesus in the middle of Isaiah, knowing that Isaiah DEFINES EXPLICITLY OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT "MY SERVANT" IS ISRAEL. With all due respect, it is not even a matter of interpretation, as the term "My servant" is EXPLICITLY IDENTIFIED SEVERAL TIMES AS BEING ISRAEL. It is a matter of CLEAR REJECTION of the text of Isaiah by the Christians, who do want the chapter 53 of Isaiah to be changed only to support their idolatrous ideology. Ezekiel 34:12 , it is very interesting the fact that you mixed truly Messianic verses (Ezekiel 34:23-24) with verses that report what will happen to Israel ("My servant") in the Messianic era (Isaiah 53:11-12). Well, let's start with Ezekiel 34-23-24; these verses talk about "My servant David will be a shepherd over them", indicating that the Messiah will be a direct descendant from king David, and this fact is repeated over and over again by all the prophets of Israel. G-d promised King David that his throne will never lack a king, meaning that the one who will be king over the Jewish people and lead the Jews in the ways of G-D will descend from him (King David). The "shepherd" means simply "the leader", "the one who guides". In fact, the verse 34:24 mentions exactly the word "prince" (as we can read below). And this "shepherd" ("leader") will lead the Jewish people over the mountains of the Land Israel, where they will inhabit in COMPLETE PEACE (thing that hasn't happened). Indeed, after the first century C.E. (period of the Jesus) the Jewish people was expelled to the long exile in the four corners of the world, and have been suffering ALL KINDS OF ATROCITIES by the nations. Theses verses of Ezekiel are truly talking about the Messiah, who has not yet arrived, as you and everybody else know that the Jewish people are still spread around the world and not ALL living peacefully in the mountains of Israel, as this chapter of Ezekiel mentions. Ezekiel 34:24-28 24 And I the LORD will be their God, and My servant David prince among them; I the LORD have spoken. 25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. 26 And I will make them and the places round about My hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there shall be showers of blessing. 27 And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield her produce, and they shall be safe in their land; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bars of their yoke, and have delivered them out of the hand of those that made bondmen of them. 👉 28 And they shall no more be a prey to the nations, neither shall the beast of the earth devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid. Oops, read very carefully this verse of Ezekiel 34:28. The Holocaust, when over 6 MILLION JEWS were brutally killed in one go by the nations, happened just less than 80 years ago. But didn't G-D say (through the prophet Ezekiel) that when the Messiah is in the world, the people Israel (the Jewish people) "SHALL NO MORE BE A PREY TO THE NATIONS, NEITHER SHALL THE BEAST OF THE EARTH DEVOUR THEM" ??? How could Jesus possibly be the Jewish Messiah mentioned by the prophet Ezekiel in this chapter that you pointed out yourself?? This chapter of Ezekiel proves exactly the point that Jesus is DEFINITELY NOT the Jewish Messiah. Now, let's just get the correct translation of your verses of Isaiah 53:11-12, because the one you proposed is COMPLETELY WRONG. Isaiah 53-11-12 יא מֵעֲמַל נַפְשׁוֹ, יִרְאֶה יִשְׂבָּע ,בְּדַעְתּוֹ יַצְדִּיק צַדִּיק עַבְדִּי, לָרַבִּים; וַעֲונֹתָם, הוּא יִסְבֹּל. 11 Of the travail of his soul he shall see to the full, even My servant, by his knowledge DID justify the Righteous One to the many, and their iniquities he DID bear. יב לָכֵן אֲחַלֶּק-לוֹ בָרַבִּים, וְאֶת-עֲצוּמִים יְחַלֵּק שָׁלָל, תַּחַת אֲשֶׁר הֶעֱרָה לַמָּוֶת נַפְשׁוֹ, וְאֶת-פֹּשְׁעִים נִמְנָה; וְהוּא חֵטְא-רַבִּים נָשָׂא, וְלַפֹּשְׁעִים יַפְגִּיעַ. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion among the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the mighty; because he bared his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah is narrating the trajectory of Israel from chapter 41 through 53. Israel (the righteous ones) is defined explicitly several times as "My servant" from chapters 41 through 53, and talks prophetically about their exile in Babylon. The righteous "Jews" were exiled in Babylon together with the wicked "Jews" for over 70 years due to the transgressions of the wicked ones amongst them. And all that generation that went to Babylon died in Babylon, and never returned to Jerusalem. Even the righteous "Jews" were buried together with the transgressors in Babylon ("because he bared his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors"). There was no punishment of the righteous with death whatsoever. This is an idea invented by ignorant Christianity of first centuries C.E. that has lasted until today. The righteous was carried away to Babylon together with the transgressors to instill the good ways of G-d among the people Israel. The righteous ones should bring back the ones astray. The purpose of G-d allowing the righteous ones ("My servant") to be sent to the exile was rather a support and example to the wicked ones. Only when they all together realized that ONLY ONE way of justice existed (the way of G-D of Israel), they were allowed to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple and the city destroyed by Nabuchadnaser. But the generation that returned was born in Babylon, it was not the same who went unto the exile. That generation who went unto the exile in Babylon (righteous ones and wicked ones) died and was buried in Babylon. I hope you read the texts in context, for a text without context is just a pretext. GM P , it is not worth it debating with people who REJECT explicit passages of the Tanakh. Mr. Brown knows the truth himself, but he convinces people otherwise because of his personal gain by doing so. He is not that stupid of a man to not see the truth. Even my 8 year-old niece reads the Bible and understands clearly that the term "My Servant" is used for Israel, because it is said explicitly by the Prophet Isaiah. This is about basic text reading skills, which the Christians seem to lack. Mr. Brown is a deceitful man and he will have to present before HaShem's court one day and explain himself. Yes. I'd say Psalm 22 puts your face right next to Jesus as hes dying. I've shown so many non religious people Psalm 22 not giving any context, just to read it. EVERY SINGLE PERSON said they know its talking about Jesus. Its amazing!

This is a perfect example of the power of a "good relationship". Rabbi Meza and Dr. Brown have a well established friendly relationship. The discussion flowed well without lots of interruptions as we've seen with other Rabbi's or orthodox Jews. We need to listen, and trust that God will get our point across after we listen.

The Messiah has to be from the line of David. He had to come from Christ era. He couldn't possibly come now, because it would be, absolutely impossible to prove that your from the " line of David" because the temples been destroyed. Thats where the records were kept . As a nation, the people of Israel, while desiring the advent of the Messiah, were so far separated from God in heart and life that they could have no true conception of the character or mission of the promised Redeemer. Instead of desiring redemption from sin, and the glory and peace of holiness, their hearts were fixed upon deliverance from their national foes, and restoration to worldly power. They looked for Messiah to come as a conqueror, to break every yoke, and exalt Israel to dominion over all nations. Thus Satan had succeeded in preparing the hearts of the people to reject the Saviour when He should appear. Their own pride of heart, and their false conceptions of His character and mission, would prevent them from honestly weighing the evidences of His Messiahship. For more than a thousand years the Jewish people had waited the coming of the promised Saviour. Their brightest hopes had rested upon this event. For a thousand years, in song and prophecy, in temple rite and household prayer, His name had been enshrined; and yet when He came, they did not recognize Him as the Messiah for whom they had so long waited. "He came unto His own, and His own received Him not." John 1:11. To their world-loving hearts the Beloved of heaven was "as a root out of a dry ground." Please do some research. Asher Meza IS NOT A JEW. He is a Colombian guy who pretends to be a Jew Rabbi. His mother was and is a gentile (not Jew). He tried to initiate his Synagogue in Ecuador (south of Colombia) and it was a total failure. Asher Meza is not even considered as a Rabbi by most Jews. Asher Meza is a fake.

Shalom corovan Lopez, with respect to you and your beliefs how could you make such a statement? You mentioned to pray for Asher for him to receive enlightenment and understand scripture. Rabbi Meza may be misconstrued as being unlearned according to a Christian perspective but make no mistake, He is very knowledgeable and very wise. In order to become a rabbi much study must be done for several years. The rabbi i study under took 8hours of study everyday for 5 years. Not just anyone can do that. It requires very much dedication, and just because he doesnt subscribe to the christian faith doesn't mean he is under a veil. He understands the Torah as many of us do at face value. יחוח gave us His Torah and instructed Israel not to have any other gods. That is exactly what we are doing. Shalom to you and your family.

No offense to Meza but he's unprepared for this. Brown is cherry picking the Isaiah 53 reference and shoe horning it to fit Christian doctrine - as all Christians do. The suffering servant is clear if you simply read the preceding chapters. Isaiah 44;1 But now hear, O Jacob my servant , Israel whom I have chosen! Isaiah 44;21 Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant ; I formed you; you are my servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me. Isaiah 45;4 For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I called you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me. Isaiah 48;20 Go out from Babylon, flee from Chaldea, declare this with a shout of joy, proclaim it, send it out to the end of the earth; say, “The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob!” Isaiah 49;3 And he said to me, “You are my servant , Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”

What kind of education or religion are you seeking? Do you want Sesame street or Harvard ?

What I see in many is their hesitancy to honestly debate the possibility that Jesus could really be the Messiah/Chosen One because of fear of rejection by family, friends or community. But who we must fear more is the rejection of God. “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.” ‭‭Proverbs 29:25‬

He came to his own and his own received him not. Having eyes to see, they do not see, having EARS to hear, they do not hear. Little do the Jewish people know that most of them will not obtain eternal life because they refuse to receive their Messiah, Yeshua. They should be witnessing to the nation's not the other way around. Most of them have failed, but not all. Many are believing in the Messiah.

John 14:13 Jesus declares,"If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." Remember when Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:6-15; He said,"pray to your Father." So here, clearly Jesus is telling us that if we pray to the Father and ask anything in His name, "He will do it" - this describes Jesus as the Arm of the Lord. He is the One who gets things done, the One who executes, fixes, and brings to pass. The Arm of the Lord refers to Lord's strength and ability to accomplish whatever He chooses to do. In the other words, Jesus as the Arm of the Lord signifies His Omnipotent and proactive nature. John 1:3 says, "All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made."

The question is Sr; where does it says, anywhere in your scripture that the prophet(s) will be exalted as the person Isaiah 53 is taking about?

Excellent conversation, kudos to Rabbi Asher for being so open minded and cordial. Regardless, it seems evident that Issiah 53 can’t just be about all the prophets, as not all the prophets died, where burried in a rich man’s tomb, said no lies, and weren’t violent as Issiah 53 describes. And most importantly, in Issiah 52 it states “Isaiah 52:15 [15] so shall he sprinkle *many nations*. This evidently can’t be about all the prophets and or a pure remnant as there isn’t global attestation to them, except for one individual…Yeshua ben Yosef the eternal Word of God who became flesh

Christians don’t claim Isaiah 53 talks about The LORD JESUS CHRIST, the Torah itself states Isaiah 53 refers to JESUS CHRIST our Lord and Savior GOD said he will blind the Jews until they recognized him who they pierced, but how blind can you be to deny the obvios and most logical interpretation of Isaiah 53 is beyond my understanding, but GOD has the answer for it

Greetings Dr Brown The Suffering Servant in Isaiah ch. 42, 49, 50, 52, 53, is both the nation Israel, the Jews, and also the personified Israel in their King Jehoshua son of Joseph, the "one for the pasha" see Gen 30:22-24, and Gen ch 27:9 in Targum ben Uzziel. The key to understand this, is in the Yom Kippur ceremony in Leviticus ch16. Understanding the typology of the two kids of the goat, and the ram in Lev 16:5 is the key. Typology of the two kids of the goat and the ram is derived from Gen ch 27, the story of the blessing of Jacob by Isaac. In Gen 27, Esau is born hairy/saw-eer, and Jacob in order to get the blessing from Isaac must become become hairy/saw-eer and is told to depart to Laban, Jacob becomes saw-eer aza-zel, that is goat of departurue, or scapegoat. Hebrew word saw-eer means hairy or goat and is used in Lev 16:5, the ram represents Isaac, as in Gen 22:13. Hebrew word aza-zel also means "strong one agaist God", or "God fighter", and is simmilar to the meaning of the name "Israel" the name given to Jacob in Gen 32:28 In the Yom Kippur ceremony we have represented Esau/Christians, Jacob/Jews, and Isaac/Jehoshua son of Joseph. The "common era, or Christian era" is a global Day of Attonment with one "saw-eer" sacrificed "for the pasha", and the other a scapegoat for the sins of humanity.

Yom Kippur, is the Day of Reconciliation between members of Biblical family of the Messiah, Christians and Jews are His childeren. Embedded in the Ten Commandments there is a promise, the promise of Rest, Shabbat. All promises in the Bible are about the Messiah, and the Messiah is about Rest, Shabbat. In the Christian part of the Bible we have: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Mat 11:28-30)

@@clayjo791 The one and only promise of the Bible is to bring into the world the Messiah and His Shabbat, i do not disqualify the Messiah as the only fulfillment of all prophecies, that is all promises. First promise is in Genesis 3:15, "the seed of the women", preparatory fulfillment of this promise was the birth of Isaac and his twin sons Esau and Jacob. Global Day of Atonement was on Golgotha, notice that on either side of the Messiah we have two sinners, it is a triune sacrifice for the sins of the world, the two sinners on either side of the Messiah represent, the Christian Church, and the Jewish nation. Same as in the Day of Atonement in Lev 16:5 we have a triune sacrifice, so on Golgotha we have triune sacrifice for the sins of the world, all three represent the One Messiah.

Rabbi Asher Meza knows that Jews stopped talking Torah, to Christians, a long time ago; because of the J.C. conflict of interest. Now I propose to reveal for the first time, that which has never been discussed, which is the only explanation to the Chapter and verses discussed here. There were 12 tribes in Israel, but the house became divided, and as a result impossible to stand, or stave off an Assyrian assault, going in and taking the 10 tribes of Israel to Assyria. This Chapter explained by the 10 tribes, bares their own guilt, caused by their idolatrous behavior, which caused wars and then abandonment. The Gentiles have had their way with Judah and Benjamin, since then; as these two tribes were downtrodden for 2300 years; and mistakenly blamed for and by the 10 tribes. This took in the blame that Judah(now called Jews, had killed their pascal lamb. When in fact this chapter tells the truth about a plural group, in singular fashion; as none other than the ones who God saved and sent to Babylon for safe keeping, for their sin of not keeping the 7th year smittah. Isaiah is talking about sinful Israel; reveals the fact Judah was saved, when the Assyrians attacked. Lastly how all honor and glory goes to Judah/Benjamin as the holy one of Israel, that 10 men of the tribe/nations would come to take hold of to learn Judaism. And this my friends will rejoin the stick of Israel to Judah, and not the fictitious, idolatrous religion of Christianity. What were you never told which will hurl you through time and space??? That the 10 tribes of Israel were never lost, but were the known to Judah in Jerusalem as across the Euphrates river, which sent the caravan for their king Jesus story. Israel known as Parthia, never told to you, existed and was a nemesis to Rome in that day. Stay to the Torah, and don't let Dr. Brown bamboozle you!!! Shalom

I see the 'rabbi' making some assumptions which are not in the text. For example, he talks about prophets in Isaiah 53 when the text doesn't say so. He says it doesn't refer to one person when the text says 'My servant' and NOT 'servants'. Again, the text does not say 'his seeds' but the rabbi keeps saying his seeds. He also mentions Jeremiah but Jeremiah didn't suffer for his people. He seems to be arguing like a muslim

Keep in mind that the LORD Almighty is Speaking and the Sovereign LORD (Consciousness) is outside of all creation, thus knowing all things and controlling all events. In other words: the LORD Almighty’s Consciousness is out of creation while the physical manifestation in in creation. And they talk about one another. No Jesus required and no Son of God/Father required. Actually, funny fact - the Father is the LORD Almighty who is the Redeemer, Savior and Holy one of Israel. No Jesus required.

These prophecies caused Satan to fear and tremble; yet he relinquished not his purpose to thwart, if possible, the merciful provisions of Jehovah for the redemption of the lost race. He determined to blind the eyes of the people, so far as might be possible, to the real significance of the Messianic prophecies.

Why don't you let the guy finish his thoughts? Why do you interrupt every time? Why ask a question if you only wish to hear your own voice inturrupting? I'm new to the faith and all I got out of this is that if you don't believe in someone's opinion, you must interrupt them as often as possible and not let them complete a thought, then move on to a new subject.

Brown is a hack who likes to portray himself as a good Jew turned Christian. Fact is, while born Jewish, there was nothing really all that Jewish about him. Had Brown been raised as an Orthodox Jew, he'd never have fallen for Christianity. I noticed that Brown chose to not be decimated by Rabbi Tovia Singer...again, lol. BTW, Isaiah 53 is literally not about Jesus at all. Y'all have to read Isaiah 52 and 54 for full context. Leave it to x-tians to cherry pick passages to support their, to be kind, awkward "theology."

The Rabbi's stand, where the suffering servant is an ambiguous plural group (of messengers & prophets, possibly including Jesus as well) feels like "spiritualizing" a topic. The whole context of that section of Isaiah clearly speaks to the singular one, who would be high and lifted up. It sounded like the Rabbi's rebuttal to this is that the rewards for the messengers and prophets (on the other side of death) would be reflective of this "high and lifted up" simply because we don't know what those rewards are explicitly. I've had many conversations with people who read a verse and refuse to (or are blind to) see it for what it is saying, grammatically and contextually, so this doesn't surprise me. That being said, I'm curious if Rabbi Asher Meza were to "play it forward," on the opposing argument, whether seeing how precisely Jesus fulfills those verses exactly, and goes on to exactly fit so many others, if that the Rabbi might reconsider his view that Isaiah 53 is pluralistic & spiritualized? God bless you both. Rabbi Asher Meza, you are an incredible scholar and knowledgeable teacher and have much to offer the world with regard to the things of God. I just hope pray that the Lord would open your eyes to show you just how perfectly you Messiah has met the Spirit-infused scripture and loves you so that you can tie it all together.

Indeed...and there are many other explicit references from the Jewish Bible pointing towards Jesus as Messiah.

When you say Isiah 53 out loud without telling anyone who it is about or where it comes from. The people familiar with Jesus will KNOW it's Jesus and will say " That is from the new testament", and the people who do not believe Jesus is the messiah will say " I don't believe in the New testament, why are you reading from that? " . Then you tell them it is Isiah. LOVE doing that. Just reading this you KNOW unless taught the wrong way, you KNOW it is Jesus because of its incredible detail!!

that is not a smart response... it's only for people that are not knowledgeable about their faith.... you know jews that are jews but aren't really religious because they don't study... sort of like people who claims to believe in jesus but and wear a cross but in reality they just claim christianity because the fear of hell..... have you actually tried speaking this outloud to a jew at all and see what the response was?

I agree with the Dr , its all in the singular and if it was meant to speak of prophets in general then it wouldnt give specifics about His death, resurrection and being exalted above the angels

He can not answer the question, or based it in the Torah. He is just basing it in his own judgement, just any other people, they are trying to justified themselves .by their own opinion.

@@Albertanator As the typical acculturated and even assimilated Ashkenasi, Michael Brown is familiar with Hebrew in the limited way most Christian biased pastors tend to be. As an Israeli and Responsible Patriotic US Navy Veteran (fourth generation American) and and American MizraHhi (non-Ashkenasi) Orthodox Jew from birth (and many generations back to the Caucus Mountains and the Middle East (at least 250 years)), I am a native speaker of Hebrew and kept learning about Semitic linguistics from a young age on. I do not claim to be the (Christian-biased) authority my apostate brother claims for himself to be in a Christian culture society. Not easy getting credentialed in a Christian cultural biased society without giving up some personal and intellectual integrity. I am still searching for an institution of higher learning for an MA (my BA is in Religious Studies) where I will not be forced to compromise myself (again).

@@swissapologetics Isaiah 49:6 our Rabbis of blessed memory say that this servant prophesied about the downfall of babylon. But even so, Isiah 49:7 is talking about the nation of Israel so not 2 Israel, same Israel

It's good to see that what we have is a respectful debate, even in the midst of a strong disagreement. I think Dr. Brown clearly wins the argument, but unfortunately winning an argument has never closed this gap.

When you type in Isaiah 53 in youtube, not a whole lot comes up, seems like there would be soo much on it.

Houston we have a problem.... Orthodox rabbis say Oral law was inspired and given at Sinai with Torah, that it is truth, but yet we have all these different rabbis teaching differently on Isaiah 53... I think the game of circular telephone is broken. lol So much for inspired oral law lol

The Messiah has to be from the line of David. He had to come from Christ era. He couldn't possibly come now, because it would be, absolutely impossible to prove that your from the " line of David" because the temples been destroyed. Thats where the records were kept . As a nation, the people of Israel, while desiring the advent of the Messiah, were so far separated from God in heart and life that they could have no true conception of the character or mission of the promised Redeemer. Instead of desiring redemption from sin, and the glory and peace of holiness, their hearts were fixed upon deliverance from their national foes, and restoration to worldly power. They looked for Messiah to come as a conqueror, to break every yoke, and exalt Israel to dominion over all nations. Thus Satan had succeeded in preparing the hearts of the people to reject the Saviour when He should appear. Their own pride of heart, and their false conceptions of His character and mission, would prevent them from honestly weighing the evidences of His Messiahship. For more than a thousand years the Jewish people had waited the coming of the promised Saviour. Their brightest hopes had rested upon this event. For a thousand years, in song and prophecy, in temple rite and household prayer, His name had been enshrined; and yet when He came, they did not recognize Him as the Messiah for whom they had so long waited. "He came unto His own, and His own received Him not." John 1:11. To their world-loving hearts the Beloved of heaven was "as a root out of a dry ground." In their eyes He had "no form nor comeliness;" they discerned in Him no beauty that they should desire Him. Isaiah 53:2.

The more I argued with them, the better I came to know their dialectic. First they counted on the stupidity of their adversary, and then, when there was no other way out, they themselves simply played stupid. If all this didn't help, they pretended not to understand, or, if challenged, they changed the subject in a hurry, quoted platitudes which, if you accepted them, they immediately related to entirely different matters, and then, if again attacked, gave ground and pretended not to know exactly what you were talking about. Whenever you tried to attack one of these apostles, your hand closed on a jelly-like slime which divided up and poured through your fingers, but in the next moment collected again. But if you really struck one of these fellows so telling a blow that, observed by the audience, he couldn't help but agree, and if you believed that this had taken you at least one step forward, your amazement was great the next day. The Jew had not the slightest recollection of the day before, he rattled off his same old nonsense as though nothing at all had happened, and, if indignantly challenged, affected amazement; he couldn't remember a thing, except that he had proved the correctness of his assertions the previous day. Sometimes I stood there thunderstruck. I didn't know what to be more amazed at: the agility of their tongues or their virtuosity at lying. Gradually I began to hate them.

Rabbi Meza has unfortunately allowed himself to be boxed in ny giving his own limited interpretation of the "servant" as prophets and martyrs. The servant is better defined as the RIGHTEOUS REMNANT of Israel or the righteous Jews who are prepared to suffer for God's purpose. This definition will include messiahs and prophets, but not be limited to them. When Isaiah says that the "servant" will be lifted up,. he is saying that the righteous remnant of Jews, who survive the Assyrian persecution (which is the theme of Isaiah), will be thrive and prosper, and be lifted up above the Gentile nations that persecute them. Meza is right (and Brown wrong) that the "servant" is not an individual man.

No offense to Meza but he's unprepared for this. Brown is cherry picking the Isaiah 53 reference and shoe horning it to fit Christian doctrine - as all Christians do. The suffering servant is clear if you simply read the preceding chapters. Isaiah 44;1 But now hear, O Jacob my servant , Israel whom I have chosen! Isaiah 44;21 Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant ; I formed you; you are my servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me. Isaiah 45;4 For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I called you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me. Isaiah 48;20 Go out from Babylon, flee from Chaldea, declare this with a shout of joy, proclaim it, send it out to the end of the earth; say, “The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob!” Isaiah 49;3 And he said to me, “You are my servant , Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”

These people dedicated a *hewn* altar which is forbidden by Elohim. They bring their holocaust, inquisitions, etc. upon themselves. YHWH chastens his children with the rod of the pagan. Group or individual is an interpretation and THIS is where Christians LOVE to dwell. You give them a direct passage and they're hellbent to spin it. It's amazing and sad.

@@MrArtist1971 You have a distorted view on the intentions of anyone who believes in Yeshua. If you doubt the intentions, you won't trust anything they say. However, believers in Yeshua gave their lives to confirm their testimony was genuine. This beats the point of being manipulative or lying. Where is the gain of giving up your life for something you fabricated? Belief in Yeshua is a genuine and honest Faith, unlike Islam, where Muhammad killed, sexually favored himself and all glory was to him, "say I'm a prophet or be killed!" Rabbinic and Karait judaism differ on Talmud inspiration, not because Karaiim are dishonest, but in their search for truth. So, instead of questioning intention, let us look at the facts with an open investigative mind as truth seekers

Dr. Brown is amazingly insightful and Rabbi Meza is a polite and a seemingly good man. I agree wholeheartedly with Dr. Brown even though I felt that he interupts Rabbi Meza too often. Perhaps that is common in Jewish debates (I don't know), and he did give the Rabbi a chance to get his points accross especially at the end.

I disagree Jewish and others keep the Shabbat because G-D told us and everyone . Now if you are one of them groups that decided to change that day to Sunday . The Catholic's done that for you people along with the kosher laws . Now here is an example of twisting the kosher laws Christians will eat every unclean food But horse meat . Cory Abouaf He did not cancel the Sabbath, but he only gave the Sabbath to the Israelites, the Jews. Non-Jews are not allowed to keep the Sabbath, at least not strictly; but by making the first day of the week the Christian Sabbath, instead of the 7th day, that's allowed for non-Jews.

Qrayon, thx for your response. I used to think that way too but really found that that is not entirely correct. Some questions: Where in the scriptures did He cancel the sabbath for Gentiles? Where in the NT does it say that when one believes in Yeshua that He remains a Gentile? Isn't true circumcision a matter of the heart? Isn't a true Jew, one who has been circumcized by the Holy Spirit, permanently indwelling? Doesn't the word say that there is neither Jew nor Gentile but all are one? Are not Gentiles grafted into the vine and then part of Israel?

Cory Abouaf , It's not that He cancelled the sabbath for the Gentiles. He never gave the Sabbath to the Gentiles in the first place, only to the Jews. Bear in mind that He offered the Torah to all the nations, but only the Israelites (the Jews) accepted it. I don't know where or if the NT says who remains a Gentile and when, but that doesn't matter. What matters is what G-d says. No, true circumcision is not a matter of the heart. A true Jew is either one who was born of a Jewish mother, or one who has gone thru a kosher conversion. In the case of a man, that conversion is not kosher if the man has not been circumcised with the physical removal of the foreskin. Does the word say there is neither Jew nor Gentile? No, I don't think so, at least not here on earth. What vine? Gentiles are not part of Israel unless they have gone through an orthodox conversion, and obey all the commandments.

The truth of whose coming is all through the bible. The prophecy starts I Genesis and continues throughout. Very clear in Revelation.

I wish Rabbi Tovia Singer would debate more. He gives strong answers and convinces so many of his Jewish followers but he has rarely allowed his views to be held up to scrutiny by those in the know. He did debate Michael Brown in the 90s and has point blank refused to debate him since which, to my mind, says a lot.

No offense to Meza but he's unprepared for this. Brown is cherry picking the Isaiah 53 reference and shoe horning it to fit Christian doctrine - as all Christians do. The suffering servant is clear if you simply read the preceding chapters. Isaiah 44;1 But now hear, O Jacob my *servant* , Israel whom I have chosen! Isaiah 44;21 Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my *servant* ; I formed you; you are my servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me. Isaiah 45;4 For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I called you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me. Isaiah 48;20 Go out from Babylon, flee from Chaldea, declare this with a shout of joy, proclaim it, send it out to the end of the earth; say, “The Lord has redeemed his *servant* Jacob!” Isaiah 49;3 And he said to me, “You are my *servant* , Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”

@@noothername6199 Num 23;19 19 God is not a man . . . And as a matter of FACT, the book of Timothy was a LETTER that made it into the New Testament canon which was compiled by a pagan - Constantine. You're attempting to overturn the entire Word of Elohim (Old Testament) with one sentence from a letter - which is not holy scripture.

@@MrArtist1971 Try reading it in context. What is God saying in Num 23....He doesn't lie That's His "Point". We lie and sin but God doesn't... Jesus was like us, but Not like us. He was sinless .He lived a Perfect Life. Wrong. The New Testament was written by Jesus' Disciples and Apostles. They wrote as the Spirit of God moved on them 2 Peter 1:21...All scripture is God breathed...Constantine invented the Catholic bible ,which is a different book, and not the New Testament....Wrong again, theres more than one sentence. John 1: ...The Word was God, and the Word was MADE FLESH and dwelt among us.

It is clear that Isaiah 53 is referring to a specific individual, because the text is in the singular, and because from Isaiah 40 onward, this servant is described in such biographical detail that it could not possibly be applied to a group of people. Rabbi Asher also failed to account for how the language in Isaiah 53 appears to be talking about an expiatory sacrifice -- appealing to the ambiguity of the pronoun "for" can't account for all the verses which appear to talk about expiation (v 10-11: the servant is an "Offering for sin" that makes many "righteous"), or how the servant's death has a causal effect on the healing of the Israelite people. Too many of Dr. Brown's points went unanswered here, but it was a good debate from both men.

I would like to point to Isaiah 59:16 where it talks about the LORD himself interceding and bringing salvation by *His own arm* because he did not find any who would do it. And what does 53 says? It says to whom has the *arm of the LORD* been revealed?!

Spiritual things have to be spiritually discerned.

Michael Brown brother, Isaiah 53 verses 10-12 are very clear, the Rabbi is not considering them. You also have in Isaiah 49,6-7, this is completely contradicting what the Rabbi is explaining. So my question to the Rabbi is who is YEHOVAH talking about in Isaiah 49,6-7?

At 27 minutes in Dr Brown insists that by the suffering servant's bruises or suffering isreal is healed. That did not happen when Yeshuah exited the building. The temple was destroyed, Israel has been persecuted for over 2000 years, how did Yeshuah fulfil the verse in question during this debate? I respect Dr Brown he possesses much wisdom no doubt about it and his desire to serve God but his desire to exalt Yeshuah is heavier . There are 40,000 plus denominations/sects that all have their own take on their interpretation of the bible. Has Yeshuah truly brought healing to the nations or more separation/antisemitism? There have been many wise people that have risen up in history that bring healing. In many cultures there are claims to have a "chosen one". Look at Catholicism that has many saints including the virgin Mary and millions of their followers today claim to see them and receive miracles. The only point i want to get across is there is no salvation from anyone else but יחוח, He is our healer, He is our Master, He is our protector and there is no one else with Him or beside Him. See now that I, I am He, And there is no Elohim besides Me. I put to death and I make alive. I have wounded, and I heal. And from My hand no one delivers!
