Dr. Bhupen Hazarika was conferred the highest honour by making him the president of Sahitya Sabha in 1993.

Not a bunch brother all his Assamese songs are milestones and left a big remark in our cultures and traditions. HE IS ASSAM'S PRIDE and We all Assamese are proud of such a godgifted person. Bhupen Hazarika was a proud Assamese man and he will always be our idol ❤️. Thankyou

I Still remember that wonderful evening probably in the late 1974 or 75 at one of my aunt's house where t Sir Dr Bhupen Hazarika had come over in the evening and sang quite a lot of songs and we were all mesmerised. Along with him I also had the golden opportunity to sing a song - probably it was one of the most precious moments of my life - my deepest regards & honour to the legend.
