I realised it was her own when she described it "bam bam bam bam" the timing she tried to communicate that she could hear was that of a adult. A featus heartbeat sounds roughly twice as fast as she described in my experience. As any mother would know (that had checkups and paid attention) all things point to this poor woman needs help not people to make fun of her. Good 1 Dr Phil.

I dont agree. She told her that she didnt do a complete ultrasound because " you cant carry a pregnancy outside of the uterus" ??? What doctor would say that? Instead of doing a 2 second ultrasound and not even looking around so, why wouldn't this woman take her time and show her that she's not pregnant why wouldn't she look at the ovaries and around the abdominal cavity to satisfy her that she checked everywhere that she could? And why would she say that a pregnancy can't be carried outside of the uterus?

@@pedrosilvamusician ok, so , obviously I dont think shes had an extrauterine pregnancy for 7 years. Lol I'm just commenting on her saying that you cant have a pregnancy outside the uterus. It can and does happen all the time. Most are killed with medications or die on their own, but they happen, and are brought to term and delivered more often than you think. Also, "eggs" dont "live " anywhere. Not inside or outside the uterus. Eggs are not alive. Embryos do. Once sperm meets egg, that's it, it becomes a new thing. It immediately begins to change and develop according to a unique blueprint created at conception.

@@pedrosilvamusician no I saw the show. She only did a very short maybe 30 second ultrasound. I mean this doctor knew there was no babies in there oh, but, my point is she could have looked all around everywhere just to prove to the lady and make her really understand. Then the woman who thinks she is pregnant would have no lingering doubt.

I loved that the doctor put her in her place. She just doesn't want to admit to being fat and having possible other medical problems and do something about it

I’m fat too I know how she feels. I don’t think I’m pregnant though because I’m not nuts. Also the doctor says I may have a tumor in my uterus or in my pituitary gland or brain stem. I don’t want a tumor any where especially in my brain. He’s going to check me. He’s going to give me an ultrasound.

They could have easily debunked her theory of hearing heartbeats and draw it to a conclusion. Why argue with someone who is convinced they hear a heartbeat. Let her listen amd prove there are no heartbeat sounds. Why not. Give someone closure

Shameema Bhyat They’ve tried that.. She is not listening to reason and apparently not even listening to any Doppler correctly. If you hear heartbeats when a Doppler is going but you aren’t pregnant. You are delusional and should get help. I’m quite surprised nobody’s done anything to actually help this woman mentally yet. Especially since it’s been 6 years now

I was scared of getting pregnant again and also had my tubes tied and not once did I have any pregnancy symptoms. She's just playing ignorant . I love how people assume they know everything because they "read it on the internet". Anyone can put info on the internet and say that they're a doctor. The fact that this woman doesn't believe that the doctor is actually right, just downright stuns me. To me, this woman needs a psychological doctor instead of an OBGYN because it doesn't seem like any of this info is gonna click in her mind.

so there is actually something where women feel “phantom movements”.. even years after having a baby. i have them occasionally, it freaks me out because it’ll feel exactly like when my son was moving in there. it’s freaky. but yeah, these ladies need to accept the facts and move on.

Please don’t call these women crazy, you don’t know if they’ve been pregnant and loss the babies. I had a miscarriage last year, and for about two months afterwards I swore that I could feel kicking. This is a real illness.

She actually really believes this. She even has a Facebook page called, "Zona's Cryptic Pregnancy" and she posts videos of gas moving around in her belly. She believes it's her babies who don't exist of course. She now believes that she is 7 years pregnant.

Look up Zona Eastham on Facebook, she just posted an ultrasound & her “pregnant” belly 2 days ago. It’s been years, she needs real psychological help.

That OBGYN is a credit to her field so smart and passionate about her profession.

I can’t imagine being so certain of something that doesn’t exist, to the point where nobody can tell you otherwise. I hope she gets the help she needs before her condition becomes irreversible or life threatening.

Sometimes I wonder if this is just a way for some women to try and cope with the fact that they've realized they're not special and their life will always be average.

I’ve been fascinated with the clips of this episode. I totally understand that if a woman THINKS she is pregnant, that the mind can manifest physical characteristics. I totally get that, but when month 10,11,12 comes around and no baby...Hello? 20 home tests come back negative...Hello? You’ve been to multiple ultrasounds with multiple Techs/DRs...Hello? I understand it can be heartbreaking to find out you’re wrong, I hope both of these women were able to get the mental health they needed.

I will say that I had 2 different ob/gyns fail to confirm that I have two vaginal canals before I finally had the first doctor do an extra thorough exam to confirm it (after I explained my experiences with self examination and tampons, including being able to feel the septum from both sides and that I bleed from both canals during menstruation) so it is possible for a doctor to "miss" a second vagina. I have uterine didelphys with a longitudinal septum, but one vaginal canal is dominant and normal sized, while the other is much smaller (it actually required a pediatric speculum to examine) and somewhat "off to the side," so the doctors missed it. But I think the initial exams also may have been somewhat hindered by an in tact or at least partially in tact hymen. (This is only in response to the "I've never missed 2 vaginas" part and the resulting audience laugh; I don't believe these women are pregnant.)

People with no sort of medical background or degree telling a doctor how to do their job baffles me.

At the end the ob/gyn said you can't carry out of the uterus. That is highly incorrect. I was carried out of the uterus for around 5 or 6 months.

My grate aunt went threw this and it ended up being a tumor the size of a foot ball unfortunately it killed her

This is such awful misinformation that she has. I had a cryptic pregnancy and it was absolutely terrifying and traumatic. Most OBGYN’s actually define cryptic pregnancy as a pregnancy that doesn’t show signs or symptoms until after 20 weeks, not necessarily at delivery. I didn’t find out about it or start showing symptoms until I was 24 weeks. There wasn’t even detectable movement. Unfortunately, they are far more common than we realize (estimated about 1 in 500 I believe). It’s something that should be discussed way more honestly. I feel bad for this desperate woman that she is so misinformed about this and delusional about what’s happening in her body.

Dr. Thais Aliabadi are you certain in that pregnancies can only be carried within the uterus? I’ve read of pregnancies in the abdominal cavity and ovaries, or was that just a fake/misinformed headline (I can’t remember where I read it, forgive me).

I have not been sexually active in a long time and have absolutely no chance of being pregnant, but I have that heartbeat or pulsating sometimes in my belly, sometimes my arm. It doesn't mean pregnancy. I just have a theory it's blood pressure rising. Just like you feel a pulse beating in your head when you're blood pressure raises. The movement felt inside your belly is probably gas. If you DO have bladder cancer, diabetes, ovarian cysts, that explains the enlarged belly. I can understand how everything can be interpreted as pregnancy when you're sexually active...I was paranoid too, but I believed the tests and moved on.

I have two uteruses and two cervix and would never second guess an ultrasound let alone multiple ultrasounds
