Physiologist and neuroscientist Dr Alan Watkins explains how he uses coherent breathing as a foundation for overall health, emotional well-being, and as a strong base for leadership and personal growth.
Dr Watkins teaches these self-regulation skills to children as young as 3 and business executives at the top of their game. Everyone is capable of these skills!

You come across as the most relaxed, de-stressed content creator I've ever seen. I just began a breathing protocol after surviving three hyper stressful years. I'm also using HRV and sleep data via the Oura Ring to guage my recovery. Much continued success to you and your viewers!

Haha, thanks E, it's all the breathing (genuinely!) I do a free session every Sunday. You would be very welcome to join. Just pop your email on the guestlist at AriaBreath.com :)
I first heard about the power of breathing about 7 years ago after watching Dr Alan Watkins ted talk on controlling your HRV through breathing. After that I read his book coherence for which I am eternally grateful. I know that he is all for us activiting the DHEA for peak performance but would like to hear his view on Wim Hofs method because I do it and I find it a good painkiller.
Spellbinding. This was such a clear exposition of how conscious internal regulation expands our consciousness.

LOVE IT!! Question - at 36:00 What is the name of the book (1 out of 4) where he writes about 3D Truth? thank you
So how do I do this method? Is it standard coherent breathing? Is there more to it? Putting yourself in some sort of mental headspace perhaps? How often and when during the day? Or maybe before or after events? Thanks for the vid!

The technique according to Alan is Breathe Rhythmically and Evenly whilst remaining focussed on the heart. I recommend watching the 15-minute video I did with Drs Gerbarg and Brown for a taster or submit your email at drawbreath.com and come to one of my interactive sessions! 😁
