Thank you sir, for the admonition that God's first and primary goal is that ALL would be saved. He wishes that NONE would perish. However, it is a daily choice. Every decision to obey or disobey indicates our choice to be saved and safe in Him. He will not force anyone to REMAIN that chooses to return to their life of sin. He will continue to pursue us. But we can quench and even grieve the Holy Spirit that leads us to repentance. Continued rebellion and sin demonstrates when we are more lovers of men, places and things more than lovers of God. God knows (even if we deceive ourselves and others) when we have a "form of godliness, but denying the POWER of godliness. And those, on the last day, will declare "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matt 7:22-24 God is warning, believers to stop the pretense. The world (unbelievers) is looking for a true reflection of the love, goodness and righteousness in CHRIST. Not hypocrites that "shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in." matthew 23:13 He's diagnosed our "saved" condition as nauseating lukewarmness because we consider ourselves in need of nothing, not recognizing we are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked..." Rev 3:15-17 God help us to repent. Die daily to self and sin. And LIVE saved. Live and love in holiness. He's coming, quickly.
