Crappie grub are more for rock n bass fishing. They big curly tail makes it hard for Ajis to inhale. With that said, some are still able to get aji with crappie grub. Depending on the size of aji n when are the aji feeding on that day. For my personal opinion, I would go for a slim profile soft plastic anytime. The pros outweighs the cons
