DPPH Radical Scavenging Method-Total Antioxidant Capacity Assessment

Principle: DPPH(1,1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) is a stable free radial with red color(absorbed at 517nm). If free radials have been scavenged, DPPH will generated it's color to yellow. This assay uses this character to show free radical scavenging activity.

@@STALKER1807 Hello ahmed, as for the comparison of both, I'll have to suit it up accordingly to the thesis, when it comes to DPPH assessment for some studies both solvent affects the antioxidants, and these would be one of those consideration ; using one of solvent could affects the DPPH environments for reduction, may some solvent makes the DPPH unstable as it does when reacting with the antioxidants vice versa ; solubility of both solvent should be different, thus affecting the absorbance. Hopefully these answer could useful for you.
