I am 72 and I have been a Sam Elliott fan for many years. I don't remember the first movie, but I so admired him. He is a joy, down to earth, honest about his opinions. He is a breath of fresh air in Hollywood. I was thrilled about him and Katherine Ross marrying. I. wish him and his family the best of everything. Cheryl

I have always loved this man. He's still good looking older man. I think I was about 11ys old and I'm 64 now and and humble. His voice is still going strong. I would love to see him up close and personal.

He and James Earl Jones are the golden voices of cinema. I love Sam Elliot- Tombstone is still one of my faves. Thanks Mr. Elliot 💜

As a long-time fan of Mr Elliott, I think this is the most revealing interview I've seen of the man himself talking about his long career. It's like sitting down and shooting the breeze with him. Or "shootin' the shit," as Sam would put it. I loved how he spoke of his wife, Katharine Ross. That sexy voice we all love, spoke lovingly of the woman he loves.

He reminds me of my father even though he's an actor

The character and story line of Conager is the best ever. One of the few times the movie was better than the book not because of any change in story because they were almost identical but because of the way Sam played that part. I literally can’t wait for it to get cold enough to start a fire sit in my favorite chair and watch that movie. I’ve been doing it every year since I was 18 and I’m 42 now. Sam has made some great movies but Conager is one of those movies that makes you a better person after you have seen it and I can’t think of any other movie I will say that about

Love this man no nonsense tell it like it is...Fell in love with his wrangler commercial...Look at that face timeless, voice totally amazing... Almost ever western they kill him off...break my heart...Great Man...

I don't think SAM knows how good he is. He is a very entertaining actor. A true professional, I enjoy his work.

I can't wait to see this film. I've been a fan of Sam Eliot's for a long, long time.

As a 66yr old limey b ,I allways think of this man as Mr America ,and I say that in a most admiring way possible. He's every thing a young man should aspire to be ,genuine, honest and considerate to others around him.Regrettably, a much under used talent ,to the film industry's loss.

I remember the first time I saw Sam in Mask. I fell in love right there lol. I loved him in Rad house next to the other man of my dreams Patrick oh my lol then in ghost rider, This Mans voice and look is just so imprinting on you it takes your breath away.

Sam mentions Conagher. It was a terrific movie and great seeing Sam and Katherine working together in that movie.

Why the hell isn't this man in every movie made ,at least in one form or another,it's obvious he wants to work and he always give a hell of a performance! Watching this I kind of get the feeling that he doesn't realize how fucking good he is.

It was the cast and the truth about what really happened!I was in love with western movies since I saw Hopalong Cassidy when I was a little girl! Then along came the Duke and his awesome group of people he worked with! Conogher, I loved it, still have it on video!!!! God bless you Sam and your family! You and Your lovely wife and daughter. Katherine is a wonderful actress in her own right! Looking forward to see this new movie!

I am greatful, and have been greatful to Sam Elliott from the year 1976. I guess you could say I even worked for Sam Elliott , because back in 1976 I worked as a 35mm Cinema Projectionist at a Cinema that had a screening policy of Four Sessions a Day of the one movie, where we had the Australian Cinema release of the Movie starring Sam Elliott titled "LIFEGUARD". I loved screening each session of the "LIFEGUARD" movie. I did not realize it in 1976, but I had first seen Sam Elliott in the earlier "American International Pictures" release of 1972 of the creepy-movie thriller titled "FROGS" Starring Ray Milland. Following Sam's appearance as the Star in "LIFEGUARD" I eagerly awaited each movie which featured Sam Elliott. Perhaps dear reader, you may have seen Sam in the 1972 Western Movie titled "Molly and Lawless John", I caught it on Television, and later on Home Video. Looking here on KZread today, I just discovered Sam in real-life is married to Katherine Ross ( Yes, the very same girl who appears sitting on the front handle-bars of a bicycle while it is being ridden around in the Western Movie "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid". Sam, if you get to read these notes here, may I add my thanks to you for these movies and many others that you have provided to us.

Something so relaxing about his voice and demeanor. The kind of dude ya wanna have a beer with and bullshit all day. The stories he could tell you about Hollywood are probably endless.

The Contender was my favorite performance. He was awesome.

Jesus, that voice! I have been a fan since I was in high school, when his hair was long and dark. He is now an absolute platinum babe. He is, as we say in Creole culture, a "dirty, pretty man", a handsome, sexy dude with a genuinely good soul.

+BETTE ROWLAND I have to agree with you! Why hasn't this man been in more movies! As a young actor he was amazing in every movie, and now, as an older actor he is even more amazing. How can we get the movie industry to make movies with him as the star? He's always been the star, the reason many of us have seen the movies he is in, even when he's only had a minor part. Wake up Hollywood!

We did exactly the same thing -- if Sam Elliott was in a movie -- it really didn't matter what it was about - both my husband and I wanted to see it -- even if we knew his role was small. He's got that kind of drawing power and I just can't believe the folks that make movies haven't figured that out!!!!

Lee Pace reminds me a lot of him....Will never be Sam, but a close second. I mean, he has the same voice. They could both whisper to a stick of butter, and it would melt instantly.

i have loved sam and his movies since....forever......he is just the epitome of cool from the top of his handsome head to the bottom of his cowboy/biker booted feet......he used the word "capable".......and that he is......without even knowing him, he just has that "air".....that....ya know he's got ya......kinda thing......about him.....his "core" (values, outlook, spirit) just being happy to be alive and anything after that, is an extra added bonus...kinda thing.... are something i sooooo get, cuz they are almost.....not of this life anymore.....

I've enjoyed watching Sam Elliot flicks for many years, he's a good actor. But for those times I've seen him alongside Katherine Ross, he's a great actor. When they work on the same project it's hard to distinguish which is the primary or supporting actor. Some things you just can't equal.
