Dozer Dances with Fire Sequel
After a long evening and into the night of fighting the forest fire with the Komatsu dozer we headed back the next day. The firefighters were short handed and needed more help as conditions are too dry.

Thanks for the video, appreciate the help you provide, I used to be a vol fireman in the mid 1970,s. It is difficult to explain in "laymen terms" what it's like to fight fires. Your videos provide valuable insight to help others not in the fire svc to understand the dedication required to do the job of a fireman. THANKS AGAIN !! STAY SAFE !!
You guys are doing a heck of a great job. God bless you all

That was a great video showing how fast fires can spread and how important it is to really get them mopped up. It also showed how important your roads were. Anything to speed up access to the fire and a place to lay all the hoses really helps.

That turf gets as dry as it is can smolder for ages, like the peat fires in Florida. And coal fires. Just smolder along and pop up anywhere at any time. You did good and I got a big chuckle about the gas can deal. You're getting to make up a little from freezing yourself now. Remain calm and have the best day you can have. A few years back a big fire was close to where we were working. Go home smelling like a BBQ every evening. GBWYall!

Hi Dave!!😀😀 Wow I can't believe how dry it is up there by you guys. Down here in central Wisconsin it's been so wet this summer that I don't know if I could even start a fire. Usually by this time of the year it's really dry here also. Glad to see they got it out. Surprised that you guys didn't bring out the D6 for cutting breaks. Take care my friend!!😀😀 Logger Al

The fire burns through the roots and can pop out of the ground a long way from the fire.

Not sure I understand the reason for the fire, is it to clear brush while you are putting in the new forest roads ready for logging this winter? 🤔. Seriously though good work all you good people, look after each other out there. Thanks for helping, have a great day.
