Doyle Lawson and Josh Swift

Doyle Lawson and Josh Swift sat to pick a bit for us; Doyle starts on his Gibson signature model F mando, then jumps to his pre-war Martin herringbone D, while Josh does great work on his signature model resonator made by Beard Guitars. Check out our exclusive review of "Life Is A Story,” the new album by Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, in the January issue of Vintage Guitar. READ NOW!! goo.gl/bfgDAu

What a sweet sounding Martin. Prewar D28's herringbones were the best of the best. Nothing else matches them for tonal quality. That resonater is OK but that Martin. WOW!!! Probably worth more than my house and my wife. My wife for sure.
