Also, anyone who prefers a #warmcomforter that is also breathable will prefer down. Finally, they are more #durablecomforters and should last for a good amount of time.
#downalternativecomforters are better for people who struggle with allergies and those who find down to be unethical. Also, they are usually the more #affordablecomforter.

The one I can Wash and Dry, is the one I will always choose, Or I will just stick with Cotton fill.
This channel really has great reviews and talking about bed items that go beyond just the mattress. I've never seen a review comparing down alternatives to down comforters. Being someone who has allergies, I Now understand why my parents growing up never bought me a down comforter. I also love the idea of having a duvet! Great video keep up the good work and stay safe
Oh boy... you said allergies and that knocks down out for me. I am currently struggling with bronchitis. And get allergy shots regularly. This was some great info!!
I got my first down comforter as a wedding gift ten years ago and I will never, ever look back! My husband sleeps hot and I do not, so it was a struggle trying to find a blanket that we could both use. One recommendation I'd use after washing your down comforters to keep that "fluff" you were talking about is throwing in a tennis ball and put it on medium heat. Of course, check to make sure your down comforter can handle being home washed, but mine came out like new and super fluffy before I had to replace it after 10 years! Great review as always, thanks!!
Amazing demo 💯 thanks
I will take the down alternative for the allergy part of the equation (I have many allergies) also I like that it can be easily washed!
i always seem to have a problem with finding something warm enough more me. I will always get cold so i have determined that i will get a down comforter. Thanks!
Thank you sir! Move in to a new place and I'm looking for some bedding upgrade. This video is exaclty what I need!

Glad I could help!
I've used both and I'm happy with either - I guess I don't really have a preference.
I love down, but it is so difficult to wash and maintain. I have down coats. Those I deal with. The down alternative is great for a comforter.
Aside from the actual fill, I have found that the method of sonstruction is almost more imporatnt. Opt for baffle square designs rather than channel baffles if you trulyb want and overall even fill.
Great review. I have allergies which are year round. In light of the fact that I can wear my down jacket, I have no reaction to it's down fill. It also depends on the fabric the down is packed into. I own both a down and down alternative comforter and can use both depending on weather. Again, great information!
Down alternative is the only thing that I will use. I am extremely concerned about the abuse of animals in the down production industry.
I've had my down comforter for 30 years. Love it for winter

Wow, what brand of down comforter lasted 30 years?
Btw... side note, I bought a Bearaby weighted blanket because of you and a video you did on weighted blankets. My husband is supper happy with his anniversary gift. And I'm thinking about getting one for myself! 😁

I'm looking for a good down alternative comforter duvet insert and am looking at the Casaluna down alternative from Target. i've heard its a bit crinkly, so not sure about it but its soft.
what is the most fluffy puffy poufy cloud like comforter you know of?
I definitely prefer down alternative. I wouldn't buy a down comforter for all the reasons you listed like allergies and easier cleaning. I also find I dont like a thick fluffy comforter anyways, even in winter.
Hi! How do you feel about parachute down inserts? How might they compare to pottery barn luxury or Supreme down insert?
i think down alternative is safer and easier to take care of personally. Also, im a big animal lover so i dont use or eat anything animal

Technically everything contains animal products or byproducts. Even electronics. The feathers from down comforters are often just picked up from the ground. So it doesn’t go to waste when animals shed
@lenaeggler6304

@@vivianpham9675 that’s simply not true, the majority of down products come from down farms. Lots of undercover video footage shows employees on goose farms pulling fistfuls of feathers out of live birds, often causing bloody wounds as the animals shriek in terror. The frightened animals are often squeezed upside down between workers’ knees during the painful procedure-in one instance, an investigator photographed a worker who was sitting on a goose’s neck in order to prevent her from escaping. Live plucking causes birds considerable pain and distress. Once their feathers are ripped out, many of the birds, paralyzed with fear, are left with gaping wounds-some even die as a result of the procedure. Workers often sew the birds’ skin back together without using any anesthetics. Please don’t spew lies about such things.
Already have a comforter just need to know what kind of cotton to get to stuff it with
Who makes a comforter tats cotton filled, I having found one yet?
Getting new bedding for Christmas got me here lol 😂
Great video I like down alternative machine washable
I have a lot of allergies, so down alternative comforter would be my best choice.
I like weight but my husband does not. What would you recommend. Would a duvet cover add a little weight with a light weight down comforter?
I sleep hot and sweat will i sweat more in down or not since you say it’s breathable but warmer
so does down comforter have like duck goose feather or something. i bought one before and the feather kept poking out and stabbing me it hurts
*WOOL = #1 Choice!*
This is the video I have been waiting for!! But now i don’t know which one is better for me , I want a fluffy, breathable ,cool and hypoallergenic long lasting comforter. So is there any good options for that ? I really want to try the down alternative comforter from Brooklinen but I haven’t found a good review video on it. Hint hint

which ever one you choose, if you are a hot sleeper or get night sweats kasentex down alternative isn't good it gets sweltering hot even in the harshest of winters.
I am bummed out about the allergen issue ... I was leaning toward getting a down comforter :-(
Ugh I got a down comforter from sheex on accident 😓 I feel like I should return it. I’m a down feather kind of girl
Me and my wife prefer down. We’ve got one in a linen duvet cover and it’s great for all seasons and offers a nice loft look on par with what you’d find in a hotel.
I’m not peta but down is horrible for what they do to those birds live plucking

the down seems better then down alternative, but its not worth it since animals are killed for the down comforter, industries and people have no empathy, we live a world where a lot of evil is hidden from the public
I really don't think down alternative is very easy to clean. It can ruin the feel of the comforter and it moves A LOT unless it's baffled boxes
I think I will stick with the down alternative simply for the cleaning factor. It's nice to be able to throw the comforter in the washing machine and dryer for a quick clean. I just wish they wernt less breathable as the down comforters but having a few with different thicknesses could help during different seasons.

Thank you, this just confirmed for me of getting a down comforter. I have allergies but i love the feel of being in clouds like most hotel beds feel. Would you happen to know of any comforter cover that could help with possible allergies that could come from a down comforter? 💙

Not that I know of right now, but I'll take a look!
Warmer and breathable I like the down better with a good duvet cover
@SerenityMegami

A duvet cover is my choice as well. However, my question then is does having a down fill cause allergen issues? Or does having a duvet cover help with that? I'm still pretty new to the duvet concept myself. Always thought there was just comforters, quilts, and such.
Kind of sad that it seems like no one takes the animal cruelty aspect of down into consideration. Geese are often plucked alive and made to live in terrible conditions in the down industry. Please keep this in mind when making the decision as well. There are so many great options out there without paying someone to harm other living beings🙌
Now , out to buy one I go
I really want to buy a down comforter but sadly they are too expensive and you can't wash them at home and my down alternative comforter is sweltering hot 24/7
Down is probably the better choice for me it will be warmer fluffier and more money than the alternative I will probably use a duvet as you can not put it in the wash machine at home.
I would love a down comforter, but I'm afraid I'd wake up with a bunch of feather stickers!
OK, so I'm still not clear. If I don't have any allergies and money is no object, and I want a lofty year-round luxurious comforter that will last a long time...what do I get???
Down comforter all the way. I love the fluff!!! It might cost more but it will last in the long run though. Also less suffocating
Down alternative wins. You can clean it & it doesn’t trap dust mites
I am a hot sleep. I don’t have allergies, I don’t mind the use of animal feathers in the down or the, and the price doesn’t matter. I’m deciding between the Brooklinen lightweight down and down alternative. Which do you recommend?
Tear fists of feathers from a live bird, or don’t. Which one is right for you?
Hi! Since down comforters are more prone to attracting allergens, what would you suggest is the best way to avoid them? Thanks!

Get a down duvet and use a duvet cover so you can wash the cover at least once a week. Best option for any type of comforter honestly.
The fact that you can't wash down comforters should be the reason to chose the alternative, imagine washing with wet wipes instead of showering or wiping your butt with toilet paper instead of using a bidet, now imagine not washing your underwear and just wiping them with a damp rag, good luck with that.
Take a shot everytime he says down alternative comforter
I prefer the all natural feel of down---more expensive, but I feel it's worth it.
Nothing beats down. Well a cheap down wool can beat
DOWN. I did not watch but once I went down in comforter and pillows I will never ever ever go back to down alternative. It’s expensive but it will last forever. I would argue that if you were going to splurge on anything in your bed first down pillows then down comforter then sheets.
I guess i would go with a down comforter. I sleep hot and its thinner, more breathable and sleeps cool. I don’t have allergies so the down feathers won’t be a problem
You mentioned we might find buying down unethical. Wow is it ever. The cruelty involved in "collecting" the down is pretty horrible to watch. Birds are generally plucked alive, and left in pain, with dark red skin & "naked". I'm guessing at least as painful as having most of your hairs plucked out at one time. I'm so relieved to have a better option. Love the fact that synthetic down is so much easier to clean. I also liked the point that they are less expensive. Great review, as usual.

I just watched the video then came here ): sooo sad makes my stomach turn im mad
how did I end up from cybersecurity courses to here
Down alternative. But that's just because I'm allergic to feathers. 😂
So buy another down comforter. Got it :)
Definitely down! Durable and I love the down smell!
Down alternative. Birds are tortured for their feathers.
The real down will protect you from freezing! I actually take mine camping! If you're going to be in cold conditions, the real down is the best! I dry my queen size in the dryer with 3 tennis balls! It's noisy but it fluffs it back up!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY DOWN COMFORTERS. The process of 'collecting' the feathers is incredibly inhumane. Down alternative is wonderful in every way. Easy to clean, comfortable, hypo-allergenic, and affordable.

Not in every case, actually most down produced is as a byproduct of the meat industry; that said, it's hard to find a company you can trust to be telling you the truth. Eider down (ultra-expensive) is gathered from their nests once they are abandoned.
What was the purpose of this video
I wouldn’t buy real downs way the geese are treated
I would go with a Down Alternative Comforter. They last longer, easy to clean, and last longer :)
The down industry os DISGUSTING
Ill take the down alternative, so the down can stay on the animal, where it belongs. People are truly sick and only think of their own comfort. Never even crosses their mind what these birds go through.
