Dovedale to Milldale 26th Best British Walk, English Countryside 4K
۞ www.buymeacoffee.com/Daveswalks
All support is hugely appreciated and it helps me keep the channel going!
No talking, just walking. Exploring the English Countryside. A nice gentle walk along the River Dove. Starting in Dovedale, crossing over the well known and popular Dovedale stepping stones, and following the river all the way to the small village of Milldale. Started this morning walk very early to beat the crowds of people that sure enough were there on the walk back. Come 10am the place was heaving with people.. It was nice to walk this very early and in peace!
My 34th of hopefully many video walks.

About Dave's Walks
Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!
I mainly focus on small towns, villages, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills and mountains, forests and canals, all along the coastlines in England, Scotland, Wales, and who knows maybe one day further afar!
I upload every Sunday 11.45am GMT (3.45am PST) (6.45am EST) (5.15pm IST) (9.15pm ACST)

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to KZread. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

Possibly up in the millions I think. Everyone in my family has done this walk at least a few times each! And with how busy it gets everyday in the summer.. maybe even 10s of millions.

I have. Such a stunningly beautiful place; no wonder it's so popular. Dovedale car park, over the stepping stones, then along the river to Milldale, enjoy a lovely ice cream in Milldale, then back along the same path. Perfect!
I put this one on for my 86 year old mum on Christmas Day. She totally lost herself in it.. These are so relaxing for all ages. Keep up the good work.

I remember crossing the stepping stones in the middle of the last century.
As an Englishman, I love my England, love the walks my family and I have. Its just so enjoyable, safe and tranquil.
The wife getting on my nerves, truck needs work, cats puking all over my cave...I know I can sit down and watch one of your videos and all that stress goes out the window. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Keep up the good work. Keep me calm.
I didn't know England has such beautiful countryside until now. Thanks for sharing this!

Ah I reckon I've probably done it 6-7 times, certainly one I would always be happy to go walk again, it really is a beautiful walk!
It must be fifty years since I was last there. I wonder if Tolkien had this place in mind when he wrote of Rivendell? It certainly fits the description with the barren moors above and then the sudden steep descent to the river below. You can almost hear the elves singing in the woods. When you looked into that first cave, I almost expected an Orc to jump out and grab you. And there at 1:11:20 unless I am very much mistaken is the entrance to The Great Hall of Thráin 'King Under the Mountain'. I can also imagine that on a rainy day you would be surrounded by what appear to be The Misty Mountains, with lots of woodlands where Trolls could be waiting in hiding for unwary travelers to pass along the long and winding road. Then, eventually, you cross the stone bridge and come at last to the house of Elrond, "The Last Homely House East of the Sea".
Thank you for making this beautiful country side available for all of us to enjoy.

One of my favourites to film. Took many attempts, which was great because I got to walk it many times! I hope to film it again after some heavy snowfall, but I think that's easier said than done because of snow closing all the country lanes. Will have to see.

Hello Dave, I've watched this video more than 20 times. This is the place you take me to when I feel blue. Or I show/ share it with joy to people I love. I wanted to say to you that I like all your videos, some I truly cherish, like precious things, like secret places I love to come back to & would like to see irl.. but I'm afraid they don't really exist. It is too beautiful. I like the way you don't walk too fast like others, and most of the time you follow the path I would have chosen (lol) & sometimes you turn around to see what is surrounding you. You take time. The sounds are so well recorded . The image quality stunning (those greens here!!), I feel like I'm really walking next to you. Silently, eyes wide open and listening. I just miss the smell as I already said in a comment ( under a video by the sea shore) but I almost can... The way you make those videos shows your talent. Thank you for sharing quality content with us (with not too many adds that's a real +) I really wish you the best for 2022 Dave, Take care...
