I wish more artists would do covers and reimaginings of their own music. Like, imagine if Dove released a second music video for boyfriend, but instead of modern and pop ish, she did it jazzy and vintage like this version. Slow, seductive and classy, with an old fashioned story and dance performance to match

Basically, whenever you see representation of queer women in the media (performances, shows, series, etc), it’s always really obvious to actual queer women that it’s made for men because it tends to be overs*xualised and appeal to men who find lesbianism “hot”. Most of the time, it’s not really made for queer women at all, and so this performance is really refreshing, because as a queer woman myself, I can tell it’s made for us and not to appeal to men who think of our sexual orientation as a fetish.

when you can give a song a performance that perfectly fits and makes it an even better experience thats just amazing
