I just pray he gets some table practice in before DNegs!! I want to see him crush Daniel N.!!!

    9:51 Phil distracts off the topic of the headphones pretty fast. I'm convinced that the headphones are for sound cancelling for Phil's sensory issues because I think he's high functioning autistic. I also think Polk knows exactly why Phil wears the headphones and that was just a passive aggressive dig at him.

  • @Lukas-ip1qc

    @Lukas-ip1qc

    I really think this is a reach. The clip looks edited, it seems they cut away from that convo after Phil gave his answer as it wasn't a super enticing convo. Phil could also break from the conversation because he felt distracted from his thinking, he was thinking of reraising not headphones. Phil isn't the only player to wear headphones at tables either, I've also seen Ivey and other players do it. Lastly, I really don't think that Doug was attack someone for their autism, he could have been trying to throw off Phil's game though

    Interesting theory about Hellmuth. Got any evidence to support that idea? Doug Polk though, he's always been a class act trash mouth. Meaning he talks and trolls with really dumb jokes, but it's always been harmless. It would seem completely out of his character to use something very personal for a random needle. On the other hand, these guys are friends with mutual respect. So maybe it was an inside joke.

  • @TheSuperhomosapien

    @@JayMaverick Phil's wife is a psychologist and that would usually be the first recommendation of a psychologist or OT to a patient with sensory issues whose occupation was in a high stimulus environment like a poker tournament. Phil's blow ups are also usually because somebody did something unexpected or a situation didn't go the way he anticipated. Having to deal with the unexpected or something not going as planned is a common trigger for outbursts for patients with Autism.

    Polk makes good videos but from everything I’ve seen with him playing, I’m not impressed, he’s spewy and very swingy in general. Just s style of play where you’re going to lose a lot

    NukSuKow right that’s why he’s won millions from playing. Was one of the best heads up players ever, won the super high roller and turned 100 to 10,000 on stream.

    Hellmuth always talks about his reading abilities and 90% of the time he has his head down looking at the chips with his hands cupped over his face you need to read somebody you need to watch deprivation expressions and body language there I am movements the chair movements all of the things that he doesn’t pay any attention to from that position I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I believe that he is luckier than he is good at playing cards
