thats most top fighters if you get a chance to talk to them as well. I even became a much kindner person once I trained MMA. Despite the feminists and their kick back on public school PT programs, working out ans combat training does build confidence. When you have confidence you dont try to peacock people.

Pretend knife fighting is one of the dumbest things on the planet. Real knife fights are quick and brutal, you bleed out fast. This dancing BS is so far from reality it's hilarious. Real life is run or shoot. I feel bad for the tree 😂

The best KALI teacher in the world for me, thank you Doug….
I like the training. Please continue.
I have huge respect for Mr.Marcaida a true and real living master among us . Thank you for sharing your skills and tactics with us,sir.
Doug Marcaida is Awesome! You gotta check out his older Kali videos!
Yes please! More with Kuya Marcaida! Always a joy to watch him teach.
thank you viking Santa for welcoming our Kuya into your videos
I don't know anything about fighting with knives or fighting in general but I loved this video. We can easily see how repetition improves muscle memory, and by training in a safe environment, where you know the other guy isn't trying to kiil you, you are free to focus on the technique behind the movements. I personally would love to see more of this type of content. Thanks Doug and Brandon.
Let's go Kuya Doug! 💪

Doug is a knife god. I love that there's no waisted motion, you're always covering yourself and you use the flow of your body to follow one attack right into the next. This is how martial arts taught us to fight, so it's a smooth transition for me. Thank you!
Thank you so much for explaining these basics Doug, with so many gems in your side comments inbetween.

Great video gentlemen Thank you!
I love Doug's old videos. I'm glad you're back.
Doug is a fantastic teacher. Wish I could train with him. We definitely want to see more training with you guys.
It is always a pleasure to watch and learn from a master artist and a student with their growth/development.
These are some great drills. I try to follow along, and my coordination gets thrown off. Sometimes I get it right, and I go for a second round, and then I fumble. 🤷♂️🫤🤦♂️. This will take a while for me to get fluid with.
Yes please to more! This is certainly the best! Thank you gentlemen! Please continue !

I’ve been following Doug for years. Well before forged and fire. He was one of my best students 😉
Fantastic basics. If you got fundamental skills you have an advantage against most people.
More Doug, definitely!
Yes please more!!!!
I've had the honor of working and training with Ray Dionaldo, but I would love to have a chance to train with Doug as well. Right about the time Doug points out to use the back of the arm, I was commenting to myself about that. Another good reason to use the back of your arm to block / check is that the inside of your arm has critical tendons and arteries that you want to protect. Ray wears a bracer to provide additional protection for that reason as well. Awesome training.

This is so awesome! A master at his craft offering great insight. I came across his KZread videos when I got interested in using a karambit to add a more lethal option to my grappling skill set. Eventhough I've been a BJJ Black Belt for many years and an avid Gun owner I have always loved knives. This video is incredible! Thanks BattleBox!
I am so jealous man what a teacher 👊🏽

His clock interpretation, we called it asterisk lines. Instead of 5 we use 8 points of attack and defense, FMA is always follow the lines where your attack going to be at.

You can continue with any Filipino arts, maybe some Japanese knife work. I will watch pretty much anything Dough does though. Love the guy.

Loved them content
This is good training. I trained in Pekiti Tersia Kali with an instructor under Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje, and Dan Inosanto, and this looks very much like what we did. I have also tested what I trained at an open Dog Brothers “Gathering of the Pack” doing full contact stick fights, and contact with trainer blades- and this stuff WORKS under pressure. I’ve also had occasion to do it for real- and I obviously lived to tell about it otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this. 😂

I have see guys practicing arnis drills with sticks And looks pretty easy yeah not so lots of technic in the middle and with moveing as quick there has to be power this set was born in the Philippines and there is a few different styles all of them just as deadly I was all ways intrigued by practitioners telling me how simple it is to learn well it all starts with a good teacher and thus the beginning A secret closely guarded
Such a great video. Full of useful tips. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. Beside it's obvious purpose greatest beauty in this drills it's that they are great for improving cognitive function and fine motor skills . Greetings from Europe
