About Season 6 of The Chi: This season, life in THE CHI reverberates between the highest highs and lowest lows. Big dreams are finally realized but at a cost and everyone will be tested in unimaginable ways as they calculate the risks and rewards of their next big move. Emmett (Jacob Latimore) and Kiesha’s (Birgundi Baker) blissful blended union is tested by his insatiable drive to expand Smokey’s and a new perilous partnership, while Kiesha finally races toward a rewarding new career. Douda (Curtiss Cook) deals with the fallout of Q’s murder and its effect on the shifting loyalty of his inner circle. Victor’s (Luke James) bold declaration of love for both his new girlfriend and his beloved community will impact his political ambitions. Happily married Jada (Yolonda Ross) mentors Emmett and her besties as they navigate relationships. Kevin (Alex Hibbert) is becoming a brilliant master gamer but struggles with the youthful pitfalls of early independence. Jake (Michael V. Epps) launches a new business, and Papa (Shamon Brown Jr.) falls for an older woman while questioning his faith. What will become of their pursuits will be revealed over the course of this season’s sixteen jaw-dropping episodes.

Douda needs to go down as one of the best & realistic tv villains an audience has seen in awhile. Not all gangsters play the corners. In Chicago & everywhere else they are smart enough to infiltrate politics, businesses and feed off the communities. 🔥🔥🔥

MOST when it comes to the storied history of chicago gangsters, jessie jackson sat with the leader of the mickey cobras & el-rukn, jeff fort. politics & gangsters in chicago have such a rich history, from al capone to blago... does anyone remember when curtiss cook played the manager on "how to make it in america?" ... i loved that show.

That person was the Wild Boyz leader. Trig killed the right person. He indirectly killed him cause he wanted Reg dead cause Douda allowed it. But it was actually a woman who directly killed Reg
I love Douda he keeps the show interesting! The actor who plays him is absolutely brilliant !! And I simply melt when he smiles 😍🥰😘❤🥰😘😍❤
I prefer Trig/Victor over Reggie because he was overprotective over Jake and always wanted to take care of Jake. Reg never truly took care of him.

The story lines are much more diverse. I like that the story lines grew to more than drugs and violence. We love in the hood too, showing it makes the show that much better to me.

I use to be a cable tech for RCN/Astound broadband down town and I remember Douda cable box wasn't working and I swapped it out. I didn't even know who he was at the time till a few months later my wife put me on to the show

The first and 2nd seasons were the best. Why did they make Douda look so fearsome at first, Then Trig comes in and Douda becomes easier to play. Made no sense, other than original writers left. BTW, that view in Douda's high rise is of Presidential towers. I'd recognize those three buildings, anywhere. I worked there, once.
When Jake turned 18 the violence would have been a green light for douda.
