In this jazz violin tutorial I teach Douce Ambiance- a dark and moody composition by Django Reinhardt. I demonstrate the intro, melody, outro and solo. In this Gypsy Jazz violin lesson I give suggestions for different approaches to soloing over the fairly difficult chord sequence, including using the natural minor scale, the minor blues or pentatonic scale, and arpeggio approach, or fingering from the relative major.
I use on-screen sheet music, a copy of which is available free to subscribers (see below).
