ALWAYS REMEMBER THE FALLEN SOLDIER! they sacrificed their LIVES so we now can live as free people, can you pay a bigger price? No. My grandpa fought in Warsaw uprising, he survived, but I never met him because he died in the day I was born. My mother lost her first son, he lived 3 days, so she says my grandpa died so that I could live. I do not think my name will be known in the entire world, but I will change the world, just because I live. We all matter, we are the change, but we must fight and NEVER GIVE UP.

As a fan of metal music and military history from an early age, Sabaton are my perfect metal band with incredible music, subject material and a singer who is amazing. They are my favourite band who have even a military history channel wow what a great band. I love them and them not only remembering and teaching military history but also remembering those men and women who faught or did heroic things in their lives, but most importantly of all telling there stories and keeping their memories alive also teaching the younger generation. Sabaton are incredible and thank God for them. Sabaton are number one band with Rammstein number two. Keep up the great work mate from a fellow Brit. It was 40:1 that MADE Sabaton big in Poland - they weren't until then, and it was a (now lost, thankyou KZread) fan video which went viral and made it happen. The battle of Wizna had been almost lost to Polish history, but Sabaton brought it to the fore, and it is now in Polish textbooks, which actually cite Sabaton. They now refer to it as Polskie Termopile - the Polish Thermopylӕ, and the commander, Captain Wladyslaw Raginis has been recognised as a national hero - he swore that he would hold the position as long as he lived, and when they ran out of ammunition and every single survivor was seriously wounded (including himself), he ordered the few remaining men to surrender their arms and then waited for the German forces himself, with a grenade held between his chin and neck and his head bowed. The actual ratio was something like 60:1 - 20 officers and 700 enlisted conscripts (although that was the listed/authorised strength, so may have not been up to complement - some say only 360 positions were filled), with 12 bunkers (6 heavy), 6 artillery pieces (75mm), 42 machine guns, 24 of them heavy, and two anti-tank rifles with 10 rounds for each, against 1,200 officers, 41,000 enlisted men, 350 tanks, 108 howitzers 58 other artillery pieces, 195 anti-tank guns, 108 mortars, 188 grenade launchers and 977 machine guns, 288 of which were heavy, and an unknown number of aircraft including fighters to strafe and Stukas dive-bombing. The battle was crucial in allowing many Polish forces to escape encirclement by the Wehrmacht. It is estimated that 70 Poles survived the battle, although this is uncertain owing to the lack of German records. The German General, Heinz Guderian, wrote in his diaries that 900 of his men were killed in action, in addition, at least ten tanks, and a number of other armoured fighting vehicles were lost. The official music video was filmed on the site of the battle and directed by a descendant of Captain Wladyslaw Raginis. The Sabaton history channel (which I strongly recommend) actually has two episodes about the battle and song, here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/g6SWmsmNg7C7ktI.html (their very first episode) and here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mW16zc6tnNGzYLA.html which also deals with the aftermath.
