I've just bought an upgraded TV now with 120Hz Capability and love VRR. Only so far played COD Cold War so far but am soon receiving The Last Of Us Part 1 and can't wait to play that with a higher refresh rate. I loved VRR when the PS5 Console let me upgraded it - it was like an early Christmas present.👍👍

When FSR 2.0 reaches the PS5 consoles, the results will be mind blowing. Imagine if they added that at the same time as VRR, wouldve had a stable 120 instead of 30-60 all of a sudden in everything aha. You also have a good point, I haven't seen many people mention FSR 2.0 since VRR released either; guess it's just the hype of VRR that we have overlooked it. I mentioned it in another video recently, but not this one :)

How do you turn on to see the specs of the FPS in the top left corner of the tv like you have in the video? Please

Will Sony release an update that makes it compatible with more monitors or tvs. Like ones with freesync

this actually makes me feel so much better about my plans to get an lg c1. had worries that games wouldn’t be able to really take advantage of such a screen, but fidelity mode with full rt and high resolution running with well paced frames at an avg of 60 fps is just mindblowing. super excited now

How’s it on BDO has anyone tried it? Tired of being capped on 60fps.

Does the ps5 wifi absolutely blow or is it just me and is there a way to add an external wifi card

Does it work on Xbox as well

So my Monitor supports freesync premium as it’s VRR, does that still work? Because I went to the monitors website to check if it had VRR and it just said freesync premium beside the VRR box.

Hey! As I understand it, you should be able to use VRR with your monitor then, but it will just be standard VRR that is possible over HDMI 2.1. You won't get the added benefits/wider range of freesync, but you should be able to use VRR. Try it :)

says no other game comes close to this level of having 40fps while on fidelity mode, I just downloaded ghost wire Tokyo and they have multiple graphic options and I tested it out on my c1 oled, and they have an option to use quality mode with ray tracing with uncapped frame rate and i was getting good resolution with Ray tracing and frames up to 80fps

The point was not that there aren't compromises to get up there, the point was for those specific option. That game runs extremely well you are right, but at that level, it is not at native 4K (the resolution is not bad and the upscaling is good), it's just to demonstrate the raw capabilities that I wanted to mention that. I also meant no game on ANOTHER console, there are other games on PS5 that get close. And to stress, I mean YET with this as well, I'm sure something will release on the series x that gets to this level and possibly surpasses it.

Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales looks so beautiful with all that ray tracing and having that high of a refresh rate along with it is like a dream come true I can not wait to try this out for myself!!

Yeah, i was using a plane 1080p monitor without any g sync or free sync. So when i went in to turn on vrr it showed not supported. I just ordered one which can support vrr, it was finally time to change my monitor. Thnx for the vid, i was missing out a important thing for my ps5

Why does it double my screen

You're wrong for saying "no other console can get anywhere near this level" Xbox series X will also be able to do that. I have both consoles and a U8G and tbh VRR is better on Xbox for now. Playstation needs to work out whatever issues they are having with getting it to work 100%. You should also list the TCL 6 series with 2.1, U8G, U7G, U9DG since they all support VRR and are very good tv's. The U8G has even been chosen a lot for 2021 budget tv of the year. Otherwise good video to inform people to turn it on because most people will benefit from it if their tv can use it.

Note for the TVs that this isn't a video for that, I just wanted to give a few, I'm working on a video with the top 5 options to match different budgets :D And you are right, those are all good screens for sure! :) Regarding the first part of your comment, VRR is technically better on series x as a technology but this was not my point. As of now, no large scale, OPEN WORLD, game on Xbox Series X is able to run at native 4K, near 60fps with native ray traced reflections enabled. That was the point at hand, I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying as of now, it has not got anything close to this that I have played or seen or heard of. If there was an example of a AAA with that, I'm sure I'd have heard about it and probably would have experienced it :) Hope that clarifies! :D And thanks for the last bit, means a lot :)

bro, what are you talking about? "VRR for unsupported PS5 games" doesn't dubble the fps, it just enables 48-60 hz/fps. Misleading video

The evidence is right here. 30 becomes 50-60 for the most part, the 60 mode becomes 80-120. Very much possible to reach double due to improved frame syncing with a 120HZ display + vrr itself. Try it and you'll see for yourself. EVERYONE is getting these results, they are reproduceable of course.

@@Octorious if you're at 60 already and double the framerate you get 120, a variable framerate between 80-100 isn't an average of double framerate, but nice work on the clickbait
