Scar for the pillagers not to spawn you need to be 50 blocks above the floor of the Pillager out post extra safety precautions you can take: - use slabs to save resources and prevent spawns - use skeletons as turrets (Risky) - use Jelly to make the others not want to kill you for Jelly (Who will take care of him and mourn your loss with him) obviously you don't have to do the pillager base thing anymore if you don't want to I would just personally like to see that base

I really wanted that too, but till the last moment I was thinking "Naa, that's not gonna happened. That would be too perfect." Sometimes it's so much joy to be wrong.

After watching Grian's video a couple of days ago and first hearing the rules, felt that you two would be bound from the beginning. There was no way that you two wouldn't be connected in some way as it makes always makes great content.

The anguish in grains voice when he screams "NOOOOO" gets me every time, the true sadness in his voce is just perfect paired up with the music playing

Soulmate AU was definitely not on my list of possibilities for this time's Last Life but honestly I can't say I'm disappointed

Being bonded to Scar is like having your life depend on an accident prone toddler with a death wish.

When I heard Grian's voice, I thought: "Imagine if he is Scar's soul mate!", then Grian said:"I don't know, but whoever I'm with is desperately trying to get me killed!"... That's when I knew!

15:00 the pillager chase may genuinely be my favourite moment of the entire Life SMP series. I don't know why it was THAT funny watching the absolute hoard of them chase everyone around the map 🤣

I love the random “Mojang, we gotta do something about this inventory, it’s ridiculous.” Very accurate, I was just not expected it right in the middle of Jellie pandas lol.

I love how each Last Life has a new twist, while it would still be entertaining, having the exact same way of doing this every time would get a bit repetitive so it's really cool to see different elements introduced each time, and this is only the third iteration! I also love how Scar and Grian ended up together again like in the first Last Life but this time instead of Grian being in Scar's debt he's the reluctant dad trying to keep his child from being killed😂

Coming from having just watched Grian's video, it is very funny to watch you be unaware as Grian cycles through the five stages of grief at being your soulmate. Especially when I remember his panic when Joel axed you! XD The chonky Jellies are adorable! As is the Jellie on your head, once the reason behind your skin was explained. It was very funny watching other people react to you seemingly having a cat head

“SCAR! SCAR I THINK WERE SOULAMTES BUT YOURE TOO BUSY CHASING FAIRIES!” Has to be one of my favourite lines ever

Okay wow this was a constant barrel of laughs! Scar going around, showing everyone his skin, the reactions are great Grian screaming like crazy and later we find out he's Scar's soulmate which is PERFECT these two are the best duo The chonky Jellies are so adorable!

scar could have known at 7:20, as grian said "scar, i think we are soulmates" then smallishbeans punches scar and we see grian take damage.

The pillager plan will work. The spawning area is a 72x54x72 box centered at the top floor of the outpost. Your problem is that you were about 8 blocks above the roof, and 16 blocks above the spawning center. You need to be a minimum of 27 blocks above the spawning center for pillagers to not spawn. Great Idea, though. I think you could still make it work!

Yep, or they can spawnproof / light up the blocks of their skybase. Outpost pillagers spawn in light levels of 8 or lower on opaque blocks, or at any light level on grass or sand blocks.

From prior experience if you light up the area inside the outpost, they will only spawn outside and not on the top.

Also: the dirt is the problem. Even within the spawning zone, pillagers can only spawn under certain conditions. I think that pillager up there spawned where Scar had grown a tree. It wandered away before Scar turned to see, but outpost pillagers spawn on any solid block in darkness (like most hostiles) or on certain blocks at any light level. Sand, grass, dirt. So, the tree-growing area is what would really need to go higher. Anything else matters a little less, since normal lighting would take care of it. Etho really shouldn't have been building a dirt platform, either, but I guess this is the sort of thing you don't know unless you've read the wiki page. I'm not sure I've ever watched a video where a KZreadr knew how to stop the pillagers from spawning, even those who normally know the details of Minecraft far better than I do. There have certainly been plenty of times where I've frustratedly watched people light up the area and think they've solved the problem.

7:30 Grian is screaming in agony about being paired up with scars while scars in chasing an allay :D

2 minutes into the first episode and scar is confidently marching towards a pillager outpost with wooden tools, I love it!

I watched Grian’s perspective first and it’s actually really cool to use the hp reduction as the indicator of the session moment and how all of the people are actually playing at the same time. Didn’t quite have that feeling in the previous series

The way Grian states OUT LOUD that he thinks/knows Scar is his soulmate, and then we just have Scar, who I assume has no self-preservation moments, just taking chunks of damage all over the place with no idea who his soulmate is
