We dehorned our calves and baby goats under one month old. Simple.
@badgerpa9
Жыл бұрын
@@user-zy4wv7yx1z I know no one in the USA that burns the base. Simpler once you cut the horn to pull the three blood vessels so they are not a cut but a tear and they stop bleeding right away. I have dehorned thousands of cattle with the old saw way and also with the new "chemical" way and I would rather do the saw, it is once and then the animal cannot run the horn through another animal or a person. If the animals have been interacted with and are not semi wild most do not even fight while you are removing the horn. If the animals are semi wild they fight that they are in a catch and do no want a person by them. By the way your comment that the end of the horn does not have blood flow, why would you cut the end of the horn? you are removing the horn so the animal cannot hurt another animal so you cut at the base only. Kind of a unintelligent comment. My cats fight getting their nails trimmed more.
