Thank you for this! I just recently bought this touchscreen radio for my 2009 beetle and after watching this detailed video on what needs to be modified I’m fairly confident I can do it myself finally. My only question is how to install the backup camera, do I need to modify anything or is it fairly easy?

I’ve started installing the camera but haven’t finished yet. Mostly because I haven’t had good weather to work outside. Hopefully in a couple weeks I’ll have a video showing what I did. Good luck!

Hi!, I have a new beetle 2006, and it's the same structure. how did you screw the bottom of the dash?. becase there is no place where it can be screw

The very bottom of the bezel I ended up not screwing since it was so hard to get too. It has little feet in the kit but I couldn’t get it to work. With my upgraded dash/console I felt it wasn’t going anywhere. The wiring of the heated seats and emergency light keeps it pretty firm. I hope this helps.

I have an ‘01 also. I don’t know if I want this exact stereo unit. Do they sell just the dash piece?

They do sell just the dash piece. If I was to do it over I would also move the hazard up and not use the cover as I hate looking at it between the vents.

Most of my suspension and brakes came from rock auto. Compressor I paid a dealer to do and that was a disaster. Good luck!

Where are you staying in the USA? I live in CA and Can you come and help me in installation because most people don't know how to install this one. I have brought all those parts and 360 Cam.
