This is absolutely my favorite Chris Stapleton song he has never been to prison But he has the power to make us feel we are in death row. It is not as flashy as some of his other songs Vocally but the power is undeniable

Really loved this double-header reaction to Chris Stapleton. Would you have thought a month ago that you would enjoy country music to this degree? I applaud you for stepping outside of your comfort zone and trying something new! (That's how I came to love sushi some 40 years ago! 😂)

Midnight Train to Memphis is one of his greatest songs imo. So, back when he was with The Steeldrivers he sang this song and it has some heavy Bluegrass. His solo version is more country/rock but they both slap hard enough to cook a raw chicken to the perfect temperature instantly.

Chris can compose pure emotion. It is incredible. With "Cold" ya gotta wonder "He & Morgane are doing OK, right?" Which they seem to be. "Death Row" slow & methodical, just like I'd imagine life on death row to actually be. I do kinda wonder what demographic he is after writing a song about death row. But, there are actually a several Country songs about prison life: Johnny Cash sang & wrote specifically for prisoners: "Folsom Prison Blue", "Cocaine Blues", & "Man in Black" Blake Sheldon: "Ol' Red".

Omg this is just ONE of my favourites from him, OMG he is an amazing artist, it should be illegal to be that good, GOD DAMN 😍

Part of the seating is on the lawn, so my friends and I have our blankets ready to sprawl out, throw back a few, watch the big screens and listen to the best male voice there is! I even have my Chris-inspired cowboy hat ready to go! I'm so hoping he does his new Metallica cover, but I will be thrilled with whatever the man sings. I hope his wife is with him, too.
