    Thanks for the video! I always thought the swivel technique made your beater move from the side to side motion, so always frustrated when I couldn’t even use it at normal speeds(I.E. 160-180 bpm) now that I know that it’s more of an endurance measure, I’ll be able to properly practice this technique. Thanks for the video, and keep blasting 🤘

    Good explanation (as usual). Can you tell me how to make my feet locked in place when doing the swivel technique since my left foot is always gradually moving back every time I use this technique?

  • @ErceArslan

    @ErceArslan

    4 жыл бұрын

    Thank you Muhammad!🙏🏼 Usually the general problem of this technique is moving the feet forward of the pedal. So some drummers may attach something like tape on their pedals. But big probability your problem is not having a full control of your slave foot. If you do the exercises on my lessons 1 and 4 you can solve this problem in a short time.

    You're not doing the swivel technique right. You're still applying the whole leg motion to your swivel technique which is not what the swivel is traditionally used for and that MAY make it slightly easier but if you do strictly the ankle motion with a swivel it makes it much easier. You are advertising the swivel in the traditional sense but demonstrating it with a whole leg motion which may misinform people. I felt the need to point that out in case people get confused.

  • @ErceArslan

    @ErceArslan

    4 жыл бұрын

    Sorry for late reply. You got a point here. But you are wrong and missing the whole picture. Swivel technique is a slide motion so main thing here is to changing the main muscle group every stroke and giving chance to the previous muscle group rest, while hitting with the other muscle group. You can use mostly your ankle, leg, calf bla bla.. I am explaining the main idea of swivel technique in this video. There is no such a thing that ''swivel technique must be just played by ankles''. If you play more than 200 bpm it turns to automatically to ankles, because you don't have any other chance (like playing it mainly with your leg motion).

    Öncelikle sevgili arkadaşım 10-15 saniye bile olsa sorduğun bu soruyu hiç düşünmeyi denedin mi? Dünya’nın en büyük davul firmalarından biri olan Tama’nın adı altında yaptığım bu videoların, yurt dışındaki başka şirketler yada müzik grupları tarafından izlenebilme ve bu şirketlerin ya da müzisyenlerin benimle çalışmak isteme olasılıkları hiç aklına gelmiyor mu? Belki ihtiyacı olan bir grup bana session olarak herhangi bir Avrupa ya da Amerika turnelerine eşlik etmemi isteyecek? Kafalarındaki ‘’Acaba dil biliyor mu? Böyle bir teklifte bulunsak, çalışırken bu adamla iletişim kurabilir miyiz?’’ gibi soruları bir yandan cevaplıyor olmam seni bu kadar mı rahatsız ediyor? Bu video serisini hazırlamaya da, çift kick-twin pedal kullanma konusu hakkında özellikle Türk davulcu arkadaşlardan gelen birçok soru üzerine, kendilerine yardımcı olmak adına, bu konu ile ilgili bildiğim her şeyi anlatacağım ücretsiz bir video serisi hazırlama sözü ile başladım. Sonra durum evrildi, videolar ve içerik çok çoğaldı, Tama ve Zuhal Müzik işin içine girdi (ve yolda girmek üzere olan başka şirketler de var) ve bu halini aldı. 10 seneyi aşkın süredir tektük de olsa kendi çapımda davul, müzik videoları çeker paylaşırım. 10.000’lerce yorum yapılmıştır hepsine toplamda ve 10.000’lerce yorum içerisinde tek kötü ve yapıcı olmayan yorumları sadece Türklerin yazdığını, yurtdışından şu ana kadar 1 tane bile kötü yorum gelmediğini söylesem inanır mısın bana? Hızlı çalarsın “Ne gerek var bu kadar hızlı çalmaya, iyi davul çalmak hızlı mı çalmak demek?” diye sorarlar. Sert ve tuşeli çalarsın “Ne gerek var bu kadar sert vurmaya, normal vurarak da iyi çalan bir sürü davulcu var” derler. T-shirtini çıkarır çalarsın “üstün niye çıplak” derler. İngilizce konuşursun “Niye Türkçe konuşmuyorsun?” derler. Boş ve yapıcı olmayan yorumlar konusunda ülkemiz birinciliği çekiyor. Bizden neden global grup ya da müziyen çıkmıyor dersiniz, global bir şeyler yapmaya çalışan müzisyenleri de aşağı çekmeye çalışırsınız. Hayranı olduğun İsveçli bir müzisyen İngilizce bir video yaptığı zaman onun da altına gidip ''İsveççe konuş İsveççe , İsveçlisin sen'' yazıyor musun? Eğer diline bu kadar çok saygılıysan da önce klavyedeki tuşlara düzgün bas, yapıorux değil ‘yapıyoruz’, türk, türkce, türksün yazılmaz ‘Türk, Türkçe, Türksün’ yazılır. Ve de Allah’tan (allahtan değil) İngilizce biliyor olmana gerek yok, zahmet edip açıklamaların sadece en başını okusaydın, tüm eğitim videolarımda Türkçe altyazı desteği olduğunu da görürdün. Bu toplum cehaleti, kompleksleri ve egoları içinde boğuldu; doymadan da boğulmaya devam ediyor.
