It's changed so much since I was there . There was a club called double six , not the newer place , but the old one had a pool and bunje jump over the pool . I miss it a lot. Just thought I would mention the orange cabs are usually ok too but always make sure they zero the meter. Another tip is if you hire a bike or a car make sure they zero the pump first . Plenty of scams in Bali but anyone going will love it , unless you stay in Kuta

Hey guys, New Zealander here. Just spent 5.5 weeks in Hong Kong and Philippines last month and one of the places we stayed in was chosen with your help. We stayed at ocean way residences in Boracay and it was pretty mint ay. Away from the noise and crowdedness of other hotel / apartments. Been watching you for what feels like a year now and you guys always make great videos. These Bali ones are reminding me of our 4 weeks spent there last year. If you go to lippo mall in Kuta, try harbour grill. 15nzd for unlimited food and drinks between 5 and 9 pm. If you take the escalator from outside the mall it’s right there at the top. I hope they still doing it.

I am about to go to Bali in October solo and would love to know where did you stay in Seminyak? I saw on one of your videos you stayed at Vassani in Canggu, I was looking at the Aston hotel; it seems reasonably priced. Have you been to that hotel and seen the rooms, if so would you recommend it and is it still close to cafes, shops, spas and yoga studios for me to walk to as I am not able to ride scooters? Glad to hear we're maybe opening your eyes to it - perhaps you'll have more interest in places like Ubud as well, those vlogs starting on Saturday. Ubud is a lot more relaxed!

Hey guys, good to see you guys showing us the area, Seminyak is really upmarket, and unfortunately rip off prices. Beaches are nothing special, not my type of place... makes me appreciate philippines and boracay as the ideal place for sun, beaches, people, culture and prices. I think showing us places off the beaten track, you'll find better prices and more culture.... all these type of Seminyak places are all foreign owned and just seem to rip off tourists to the hill. Bali ain't a cheap place anymore unless you go to non tourist places... enjoying your vlogs as always

Boracay definitely has an awesome balance of all those things, while still having a small feel - we like that! you're right sadly, Bali isnt really that cheap anymore, though the local food places can be really cost effective, but theyre heavily out weighed by the fancy cafes!

Haha you're welcome! Definitely expensive compared to other places though, just keep that in mind :) Didnt plan on it no, but will make the most of it while we're here tho!

When you find your way back in Manila, check out Touch & Heal Spa in Makati. They've got a branch in Salcedo Village and a branch in Legazpi Village. The branch in Salcedo Village is just a couple of streets behind Wild Flour Cafe. A deep-tissue massage is Php450.00/hour. My wife and I drive down from Alabang just to get a late night massage there. Cheers!

Hi guys great vid as usual. You are definitely right about the taxi drivers in Bali. We just arrived and we were haggled from the moment we stepped outside the airport. We decided on using Grab, which was cheaper than the prices the taxi drivers were quoting us. Have you ever been in Bali during their Nyepi Day? How long are you guys going to be in Bali? Maybe we can connect before our trip back to Malaysia.

Definitely best to stick with Grab and Uber! The haggling doesnt end otherwise haha. Never experienced Nyepi, should make for an interesting few days if this rain gives up! We leave in a few days though, vlogs are a bit behind, enjoy Bali guys.

Spring spa is right in the heart of the main square, easy to get to. You have to book online I think and make a deposit, you can pay card in person, youll love it

I just wrote a reply about double six .. yeah me too. I was there in 98 , 2000 , 2001 and 2002 ... did you ever go to the Euro bar next door ..it was Curuseos before it became Euro bar ..it was owned by a friend of mine from the UK in 98 before he ended up in jail in krobakan..

@@markgriff9053 oh yes i did go to Curuseos yes i was there 2004 living at my brothers off jalan Dynah Pura , Gang Bima. But was there every year from 1990s . I knew Dzj Tyty and DJ Fadi quite well who still live there . I loved the trance music from late 90s - The good old Seminyak days .

She was not playing while I was there but plays all over Asia now , played a lot in Stadium in Jakarta..her name is Mari / DJ Apsara . Would you know who was playing in Euro bar in 2001 ish Sure he was a French guy. used t o ride a Harley. I ask coz I DJ my self a bit and ther was one tune I have never been able to track down since. It sounded a bit like Greece 2000 but it had a vocal which sounded like ''drugs in the lightbulb'' ...It might not have been those words but loved that tune. On my last day one year it was the last tune they played in double six. So where are you now? and were you working there or just chilling like me .?

Check out the Gili islands maybe, say trips/over night to Nusa islands and places like Lombok is nice apparently and relatively quiet. Komodo islands is famous and has the dragons everywhere. Full time travel isn’t (aka should t) be about living off peanuts, we never have, never skimped and as you can see from all our videos we’ve lived amazing life the past year plus. Seminyak is upscale. Shouldn't be surprised about the prices. Bali isn't trying to compete with Thailand or Philippines. To have a similar experience in USA, I'd have to spend 5 times more than what I would in Bali. At any rate, Bali has become too crowded over the past decade. Tourism needs to decrease to a more sustainable level. Hopefully, a drop in tourism will lead to the local businesses to rethink the way they treat tourists in terms of setting price points for their goods and services.

I just have to say I found the apartment you stayed in Boracay and it was amazing. I am looking to go back to Bali and I need some information from you so I will be spamming your KZread

Agree! Next vlog we got a Grab, Uber in the end actually, and its super cheap! Still, for most tourits, good to know that Bluebird is safe!

I was in Thailand for a month and insisted they run on the meter and the drivers were so put out by it grumpy as fuuk.

Its scary AF to begin with!!

One thing for people to know is the beaches are polluted big time. The filthy runoff from the gutters and maybe toilets runs of to the beaches. But if you that doesn't bother you and the filth in some of those cheap restaurants, than it's a bogans paradise. I would suggest stick to the resort restaurants and play it safe.

True the plastic waist is really bad. The problem is the Indonesian's just use the rivers as bins also because of the location of Bali the plastic waist also comes in washed up from Java and the other islands. There are beaches that don't get plastic waist though. it all depends on the area. It's sad that such a beautiful place is so polluted by peoples ignorance. It's th same story all over Asia in many places..not only Asia of course. I used to spend a lot of time there and seeing how the place has changed is pretty sad..seems to have lots it's charm . I used to get two meals and drinks for fifteen thousand ..thats less than a quid. from the hawker stalls ..now it would be five to ten times that
