That would explain why his auto attack particle in Dota 2 is shuriken shaped. I'm guessing Dazzle also used to throw shurikens since his Dota 2 incarnation also throws shuriken like energy projectiles.

How Rhastas skill barely changed is a testament to how good the hero was even since then.

Nah, dota is an example of games that prevent power creep happen. Power creep usually happen to games that introduce new characters, new items, etc over time. LOL is the example of bad power creep management, there are literally old champions that never ever picked at high elo or pro plays because these old champions kit is outdated by the new ones. While dota even rhasta kit can keep up with any newest heroes. And I like how IceFrog make dota “no heroes are overpowered if every heroes are overpowered” while still prevent power creep

An additional detail is that the change in HoN from Magical Bindings to Tongue Tied was a user submitted idea. I know that because I was that user, I wrote a post about it in the suggestions forum and they implemented it, got a fancy special portrait (Alchemist Bones) as a reward. Can't find the post anymore as a proof tho. I called it "Lingual Strangulation" in my post, which was a way way worse name. In my defense I was pretty young and English isn't my first language. Cool video, cheers!

7:15 I think they changed it to fit the character's theme more. Ether shock sounds more in tune with rhasta's quirky, dark shadow shaman playstyle whereas forked lightning feels like an elemental spell.

Yes this is true, during the day of dota forum, that's the explanation they go with because ether shock will fits in Rhasta both thematically and aesthetically.

old wc3 version of shadow shaman can trap an enemy with his mass serpent wards. just need to drop them properly in top of the enemy hero in order for the wards to wrap around the enemy hitbox

My first hero. I still remember my first and early dota 1 games using only rhasta for months coz its the only hero i know and thinking hes the perfect hero coz he has damage, control and snake for def, kill and push, using desolator bcoz it changes the attack animation from shuriken to rainbow, i like the colors. sometimes mask of madness bcoz i like the captain america look of the item, i just hate the banana attack animation. buriza coz i like them crits and 2 hyper stone for attack speed i like looking at my rhasta firing rainbow shots at fast speed

My combo of shadow shaman in Dota 1 since 2005. Make your opponent into chicken then put the ulti into it (must be surrounded by serpent) then use the net and after a few second use the lightning.. the result: GGWP
