- The DOT works closely with all kinds of law enforcement. Sometimes, at weighing scales, I'd get motioned to pull over and stop at a place for a special drug sniffing dog to walk around my rig. At one place, the flat bed that I was pulling had Atlas brand tires. At the time, that brand contained a lot of nylon and similar products. Hence, as the tire went down the road, it would build up static electricity. A quick "thump" with a billy club style tire bat, would discharge the static buildup. Any who, I'm at a checkpoint, and a DOT trooper is standingnext to my door, as another DOT trooper with a drug sniffing dog starts walking around my rig. I jokingly say to the trooper next to me... "this is not the truck you're looking for... move along". All the while, waving my hand, like Obi-wan in Star Wars. He was not impressed. As the dog starts sniffing, he gets his nose right next to a tire, and...ZAP! So I look down at the trooper and... without missing a beat, say... "The force is strong with this one.." The troopernext to me, reaches for his citation book, and starts writing up a storm. He folds the citation in half, paper clips it to my paperwork that I handed him, as he tells me to "Move!" I stopped at the next truck stop, my curiosity driving me nuts, to see what he charged mefor. I unfold the citation, and I see.. and I quote.. CITATION.. SMART ASS... EMPIRE'S REVENGE...HAVE A NICE DAY.....

Had level 3 paper and digital logs done in Nebraska. Cop was so nice I almost threw up it made me SICK .

That happen to me at a weight station they made me pull over and did the whole DOT check I got a warning for my paper log book in 2003 when everyone used paper log books

They have prepass means if they got green light with it they don’t have to go to weigh station to be scaled but if they got red light beeping on then they have to go to weigh station to be scaled just search pre pass you’ll learn more about that

He was taking on the phone saying the violations they found were a tire low on air, a loose bolt on something I couldn’t understand. And the red turn signals were reflecting off the chrome air breathers and that it should be yellow rather than red. To which he said that’s how it came from the factory.

oh yes....lets pick on the guy who hauls our nations freight.....but yet 90% of the 4 wheelers out there have defects, OH THATS OKAY! they just weigh between 3,000 and 12,000 pounds they wont do that much damage! but if it wasn't for this driver and his truck non of the liberals would have food, or a table to eat of off.....my grandma was half South American, so im saying liberal loosely.....THANK YOU DRIVER FOR MAKING THIS COUNTRY MOVE! and sorry for the BS you put up for daily!
