He didn't really Bosnia had a good team then and at the time the Bosnian fa and managment wasn't split with ethnic problems . Majority of the team played in bundesliga but it was an old team and with problems no young players coming through and Serbs Bosnians not willing to fund or play for Bosnia

I'm glad to see Gary is so willing to steer into the skid (pun intended) with regards to his accident on the pitch. Can tell he used to really hate whenever it was brought up but it's so much better now that he sees the funny side

It always starts so wholesome when Gary announces Alan, and Micah and the camera cuts to them grinning away. And then a few moments later... *Alan drops some language, Micah starts shouting at something, Gary tells us he played for Barca* And you know the episode is properly underway 😂🤣😎

He was just about a decent full back and that was only on his day.

Shearer or Kane... Put Shearer in todays footbal with todays technology and doctors, if he didnt have those bad knee injuries he would be even better. Kane is more versitile id say, but Shearer was deadly as hell, whenever he turned to goal, ready to smash it... you knew the keeper is not gonna have fun .

As for the most selfless thing a player has done, it’s not for a teammate but a rival. Di Canio saw the Everton keeper go down with a bad head injury and instead of trying to score into an open goal, he caught the ball and stopped the game so he could get treatment. It was five minutes from time with the score at 1-1 and West Ham needed the points. Stuart Pearce and Harry Redknapp were furious with him for doing it, but Everton nominated him for a FIFA Fair Play award which he won and they presented to him in the reverse fixture. A truly classy gesture from him!

(She also has a thing for Gary!, not related to WiM). The piano riff before Barnes' rap is sublime. Also Andrew Weatherall (rip) did a great remix too. Three lions reminds me of the summer I left school and watching the semi v Germany on a campsite in Spain with my mates but I'm not a huge fan of the song.
