I always loved how Zelena was like the Evil Queen of Oz… I wanted a spin-off set in Oz that shows Zelena’s rise to power and stuff

@@Mirror371 They had already tried Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and it didnt deliver as well as OUAT, but a spin off for Oz or Neverland woulve been amazing!

Love how they followed the canon of the original book and made them Silver Slippers instead of Ruby Slippers

+Daniella Robins In the ‘80s Disney did its own film called Return to Oz and the slippers in that film were also ruby, so OUAT could have used ruby slippers if they wanted to, but I’m glad they chose silver instead.

@@c.evans1804 Disney also had to pay a pretty penny in order to get the rights to use them. I doubt that this show, with its $10 green-screen budget, would have been able to fork over the money.

@@BY-cy8xu The Hunger Games books came out in 2008, from 2012 to 2015 the movies were released. It is possible that the producers/ costume department took inspiration from the Hunger Games for this older Dorothy's wardrobe/ style From 2011 to 2017 is how long Once Upon A Time was on for

that along with her killing Maid Marian are definitely the two worst things she's ever done - there's one thing that's near unforgivable and that can't be explained away that was done by every villain in this show, these two tie for Zelena's worst thing. I mean, she could've just let Marian live and found a way to watch Regina suffer seeing Robin Hood with his first love. But she had to take part in it instead of just watch it so she killed Marian and impersonated her. Guess that was on us though, Robin Hood and Maid Marian are meant to be together, as soon as Robin said he didn't feel the same way about Marian he felt before we should've known that something was wrong. And it shows how far she'd gone by that stage - she knew what it was like to want something desperately, just like the Scarecrow had wanted his brain desperately. And she ripped what he had wanted away.

Hades looked startled and afraid to when Zelena putted the brain of Scar crow that's why he disappeared.

so if dorothy is a storybook character, then when she goes home to “kansas” is it “land without magic kansas” or is it another realm of story with a place also called kansas? and is she just a normal human?

It's probably land without magic. Considering Baelfire used a portal to go to LWM yet met the Darlings implying some of these characters exist in our realm but are there taken to realms with loads of magic. Also LWM is an inaccurate term because clearly magic does exist in our realm in OUAT. It's just more rare than other places.

Poor little thing, this so sad. I almost cried. She killed him, putting his brain as a ingredient for a terrible spell.

Why is it when I watch the original Wizard of Oz, I see Elphaba and Fiyero but when I watch OUAT my mind only sees Zelena and the Scarecrow (no crossover no nothing. I just can't see her as anyone else but Zelena)

"one teeny, tiny but oh so crucial detail" that may put a stop to that - Hades is already married. To Persephone, Goddess of Spring and Queen of the Underworld. Hades loves Zelena, we all know that. But as he told Cora, he hates to loose anything. So no matter how much he loves Zelena, he'll never leave Persephone nor allow her to leave him - not that he could anyhow, she's bound to the underworld forever. I see it as a 'He loves Zelena, but he still wants Persephone' scenario, if only it being a case of him wanting her because she symbolises the upper world that he's cut off from in the full breathe of life. Also after I saw a deleted scene with King Arthur in the Underworld I thought maybe they could finds some peace together, rebuild the underworld into a better place together.

SCARECROW NOOOOO!!!! best damn character in the wizard of Oz and they kill him of after barely two scenes, the injustice of it all 😞

Zelena is so brutal. Hate how she is being so downplayed in Season 6. She wouldn't even fight the evil queen. She was so badass shown here. Powerful and so powerful she caught the eye of the god of the underworld? I'm not saying they should've kept her evil and had to kill her, but Regina is still Regina, angry and not wimpy. We need more green Zelena too, and more of her fighting, for bad or good! Dorothy here was fun too, and the way it ended was pretty adorable. Probably the best episode of Season 5 (even though tbh besides the merida episodes or others in 5B underworld arc, it was by far the worst season).

The Evil Queen was stated to be stronger than Regina. Furthermore, Zelena isn’t as strong without her pendant. That’s why the Evil Queen won.

@@TTUploads it's because clones cannot be hurt without special items and because if Queen got killed Regina would die, so Zelena or any magic user cannot hurt a clones like Queen and Dr. Hyde

Dorothy's so brave fighting Zelena and Zelena's actress is amazing she play's both sides perfectly

Poor Scarecrow, that's awful! I feel bad for him and also confused... How can that kill him? He's only made of straw. He should survive being impaled, like Olaf.

Why is Zelena afraid of this woman?

Because Dorothy is prophecised to be a powerful witch, and she managed to temporarily knock out Zelena by having thrown water on her which melted Zelena.

@@akumayoxiruma Zelena was pretending to die when this pathetic character threw water on her. In addition, Dorothy is not a witch and from what we have seen of her she never seems to have become, therefore just the fact that the other witches of Oz allowed an ordinary girl to sit at the witches table and moreover in place of the new one witch of the west is a great insult not only for Zelena herself but also for the intelligence of us spectators (even if we got used to it every time the producers make fun of us). Then there is the story (which has never even been explored) that this Dorothy was always predestined as the great good that would have defeated the great evil of Oz (which Zelena thinks she is) is and will always be a big shit!

I love her so much! Even the god of death is afraid of her!

even though I loved this episode, but still I'm not happy about the fact that Oz storyline and Dorothy is so much underused in this show! I understand they need time but just look at the Spin Off in Wonderland! why can't be an Spin Off about realms which the show had no time to use?

Labeled crazy, she spoke of oz and almost got committed but Auntie Em made sure she stayed free.

Don't know why, but Dorothy's character is not very likeable. While Zelena is, ironically, much more relatable, even though her actions are a bit extra, making you want to root for her instead of Dorothy. Dorothy just comes of annoying with all this "I'm courageous"/fearless nonsense. 'Cause let's admit it, she doesn't stand a chance against Zelena. If they made her character more human, with fears, rather than this heroic to perfection figure, she would've been more likeable and relateable.

But still she.needed rumpels brain. Why ? if she had the scarecrow

God, her makeup is awful. And who thought it was a good idea to give her red hair instead of black? The contrast of the red hair and green skin looks ridiculous.
