This is a really good way of adapting a video game to a board game and im so very glad its not everyone building their own towns, because that would be so messy and small in comparison. And havign a co-op city builder like this, while not being unique, is still quite different to normal. This is a rock solid game for families too.

Really? Interesting. I kinda dug that it wasn't that way.

I do like how this game, true to the original, results in this sprawling rural landscape as things unfold. It's not a game *I* would buy for my personal collection, but it's fantastic for a boardgame café or other such setting; plenty of time for pleasant chatting, advice and snacks while the game goes.

Great game, balanced review. 3 mins, wonderful. Like Carcasonne but want more co-operation, Like Legacy but worry about replaying and environment, then this is definitely your game!

Suck a nice chill game to "cleanse the pallet" after a heavy game. Enjoy this very much for what it is. Can't loose, but we can always do better!

Interesting that I've heard about this board game multiple times but I'm totally not aware of that video game. It didn't get inside my information bubble.

Ditto, and it explains the name, which seemed utterly unrelated to the gameplay!

Glad DorfRomantik won awards. Some reviews complain lack of tension / goals-- totally missing the point / beauty of the game 😑 too much fight in the world and at home-- need more coop / chill games (Tokaido).

I completely agree. Complaining that a game decides to be its own thing and not the same as 100 other games is a very odd take as far as im concerned. I heard people say to me as well, and im like "ok, there are other games you know"

When hear “dorf” I immediately think of Brad Dourif in Dune.

I've had a ton of fun with the video game version of this. However... I can't see myself picking this up. The lack of a win condition is kind of a letdown. And can't beat no setup/manual counting in the digital game lol
