If you have had someone try to scam you, share your story, please. It could help someone in the future from these scumbags.

Not inside job. There is no customer. No real customer. They placed the order. So, they know the name of the customer and name of the restaurant. Then they call you using a burner number that they set-up as Doordash. " Hi, this is Doordash. Are you on the way to deliver John's food from Subway?" They do it for all the apps. I had one with Uber. It's a great scam because they can do it anywhere.

Years ago ( I was a newbie) I was on my way to the customer with an Uber Eats order. I got a call that said Uber Eats. I answered & they said they needed to ask me a few questions. The first question was " where are you right now"? I responded with " If you're Uber Eats, shouldn't you know where i am"? They hung up & i never heard from them again. I didn't get scammed because of content creators like you! Thx for the info & take care! 👍

Ya, after thinking about it, you are probably right.

i cant stand scammers, i have a stack of 5-10,000 USD (for motion picture use only) to mess with scammers. I will drag them along to the point they think they are ganna get me send me checks ect and then i send them pictures that i cashed out their checks , but this is completly diffrent. i have no clue how you would troll those scammers

It's good to hear you caught on. Subway might be a target for them.

I don't think it was an inside job. I think it was just some scammers creating fake accounts and was fishing for card numbers.

Scammers keep getting more & more creative. Protect yourself.

I think its the customer they just order the food on a stolen card to whatever name. Then they call you using an app like spoofcard where they can set the caller id to anything. Then just keep calling the drivers untill they get the card info from someone to process a refund.

Dude your way off! The person who tried scamming you was the "customer" who placed the order for subway! It's happened to me before.. when the customer calls you doordash will appear on the caller ID! My guess is the customer was previously a dasher who got deactivated and is trying to scam their way to highjacking your account and use it for their purposes..
