I feel a player like Toney would be happy with us and to help us get back into Europe

Hi Mark, I think with Julen Lopetegui, the new manager will want to see what he can do with the whole squad. Moyes became increasingly frustrating with squad players, it’s not as if Ings and Cornet and others were completely untalented before they came to West Ham. I’m hoping that Lopetegui can get a tune out of Downes, Ings, Cornet and company. If not, then ship them before the window closes or at least in the winter. January is after all a good selling window to desperate teams.

Agreed I think he’ll want to assess certain players as they could thrive under him. But we also want to bring in fresh faces so I can see them club wanting to raise the funds needed too. Aguerd I expect will go

Toney, I wouldn't mind seeing at West Ham. But I hope there is a plan B on standby, or Steidtan airlines fires up for another Indiana Jones quest.

@@damiandamico4715he’d want huge wages (currently on about €200k/wk) & signing on fee so not “free” (but less than £30-40m for Toney I guess).

Don't forget not many clubs can buy without selling this year, we are one of the lucky ones.

I have reservations about him as lots of other clubs seem to be giving him a swerve, is there something we don’t know?

I hear attitude but tbh he’s done so well and not hampered him. So let’s see. Would be a very low risk outlay as hed score well for us

Mark sorry mate but ings didn't work out like all our strikers because of Moyes he dissilusions every striker he had

bringing in Ivan shouldve been done a few seasons ago ... but we move ! i think its an ideal move for us as a Club ... Michail is getting older and we need to fill that role for the history books and Ivan Toney suits that role !

Ineacho would be a good ings replacement if we can move him on but we would still need a toney quality type of striker

Strikers only haven’t worked for West Ham cause of Moyes recently and the diabolical tactics

You keep producing mate another great show agree with Toney go in with 35 million and see what happens plus another striker keep downes unload Zouma and Aguerd then another centre half leave the full backs till January if one gets injured 3 at the back

Was a good match today: 'Et Cetera' 7 - 12 'D' ya know what I mean'. Was a close match but Etc's defence was eventually overrun by the marauding 'D'ya knowwhatImean's, good game though.

The strikers we had and failed it's all down to that clown of a manager David moyes he is the problem I am so glad he has gone

He’s “only” on £36k/wk so we could easily double that & he’d still be on less than Ings or Antonio (£125k/wk & £85k/wk).

@@davidclerihew3539 And if he was looking to double his wages that would be fine, but he isn't. It's been reported that he's asking for £250k per week. I can see him staying at Brentford this year and then moving to whoever offers him the biggest wages and signing on fee next summer.

I just can’t see it, would like him but he will want Europe- I can see him going to Spuds

If Toney gets us into Europe we will recoup most of the money spent on him.

If we perform like Villa did last year, they’ll be a solid takeover bid identified. They want the value increased back up to a club in Europe numbers.

Ivan Toney, good player. 35mil, fair price. Wages! Probably, equal to half the rest of the team. For that reason, I don't think it will happen.

First few windows is about building a competitive team as quick as possible to get back to challenging to 6 (we probably only needed to address the defence & replace Benny & get a striker to do that). After that buy younger & address age profile.

Would like Toney but I think clubs like Arsenal and Man Utd will go in for him eventually.

Duran sounds really pricey. Hopefully Steidten can find a similar player BEFORE the Prem to Prem tax (which is why Kilman cos £40m rather than £25m).

Shows a poor attitude. Not in any way sorry for the betting issue, so could re-offend and his form fell off badly towards he end of the season.
