Chad Daybell is accused of killing two of his second wife’s children, as well as his own first wife, because he believed they were possessed. Two weeks after his wife Tammy’s unexpected death, Chad married Lori Vallow. Vallow was convicted last year of her role in the triple homicide. This week, prosecutors unveiled new footage of Daybell sitting in the back of a police car as investigators searched his property. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber analyzes the new footage as Daybell’s first week of trial continues.

Emma disgusts me. The disregard for the children buried in her father's yard, the dig at Colby, the telephone chats with Lori in prison, all of it just disgusts me. What a way to honor her mother's memory, by making sure Lori gets money put on her books every week, and telephone calls. Emma is very fortunate that Lori didn't declare _her_ to be a "dark spirit", and an "obstacle", because we know what happens to people that get in Lori's way.

@@narellegoddard7672 None of this was Kylee’s fault. It wasn’t her responsibility. She was still a child. Sadly, she was the victim of an exploitive and lethal parent. I had a father who did his best to manipulate my two brothers and myself right up until he died. He did a lot of damage to me but especially to one of my brothers. My other brother (who was the baby of the 3 of us) saw through his manipulations from the get-go. It took me until I was 18 to break free of his grasp. My other brother never did break free, mentally speaking, and still refuses to believe the truth about our father to this day. I’ve marveled at times that my father didn’t murder me, but I was able to grow up to be strong enough to recognize my parent’s manipulation & to think for myself. Unfortunately for Kylee, she didn’t have that opportunity. Our parents know our every strength & weakness. Tragically, Kylee’s mother exploited her “weakness”, (she wanted to “protect” her mother), just as my father used ours. Kylee was still a child who had already been through a lot. She didn’t see it coming. She would never have allowed them to hurt JJ. That’s why they murdered her 1st. None of this was her fault.😒

I don't think she lied, or knew she was lying - tylee wasn't in the house/present when her dad was murdered. I’ve learned so much more about the nature of what went on between these two in these early stages of the trial already. There’s so much sick delusion going on here. Did they really think they would get away with this and live happily ever after? It seems so. I hope the eyes of his kids are being opened wide open as well. I find it interesting that he said, “I love you so much” and then he didn’t know if he wanted her to call him back later. He’s practically admitting everything without saying the words. The laughter between both Emma and Chad while the police tell them there are human remains on his property is super bizarre. I don’t think Emma has anything to do with it but it’s weird how she’s been reacting. It could be her not wanting to admit that her Dad committed these heinous crimes. It’s weird that he would plead not guilty with all of the evidence stacked so high against him. It’s being played before his and everyone’s eyes. There’s really not much of a real defense for him.
