Yep as I've said to many people the original intent for Doom was the horror take but still having action gameplay. I feel like Doom is easily capable of being either a power fantasy run and gun, horror action or horror survival.

Oh, if only there were a way to automatically give this treatment to random map files. That was breathtaking. Maybe 10% of the enemies, but 250% of the suspense.

This looks fantastic!!! The sound and atmosphere is palpable. Triple A quality, will definitely play this 🤟

very nice job my fellow stalker .... nice ambient/atmospheric sound as I myself grew up playing this game when it first become available and still play it with mods of course and level design for DooM2 as well. Great Work! ....... DooM2 meets Stalker ... :)

That would be awesome, or at least shift the sprites when you look up or down at them, like in Duke Nukem or any of the Build games.

i like how there was only one enemy soldier encounter in the entire video and it was just as scary as any of the other enemies

Very cool, well done on the sound design. The deafening silence is a great tension builder. I also like how there's Stalker anomalies. Never thought I'd see that in Doom. Gotta say though, "situation negative" is a pretty hilarious thing to write in your own blood 😅

This actually looks really good, and the sound design is incredible! The only thing missing is voxel models...

There have been a few horror mods but I don't think anything on this level, there is also LitDoom.

This is so cool. The audio is amazing and man the doom engine is so good. Sometimes i imagine a world where the doom engine was as far as we got. Imagine skyrim on the doom engine. Just slight improvements. No true 3d. 05:30 is just so good. Being swarmed by 2 jumpscare monsters, kills one, ducks into that room and its just silence and the sound of that door opening and closing on its own. The blue lighting adds to that moment. Incredible.

Sounds, visuals, and mechanics look solid. I probably couldn’t get over not being able to see in combat though without something like a shitty headlamp flashlight. I’m sure that was the intent though which they nailed

The sounds will be apart of the 2.0 release so no need there as for the other packs sure I'll do that when 2.0 is released by Prolog.

Its quite similar but goes for horror vibes, you still gotta do stuff like patch yourself up, weight concern, anti radiation, but ammo is a lot more scarce, demons are fewer but far more imposing, If you like HD you will probably like this as well.

If you run into any room again without clearing it first, I'll be waiting around the corner for you next time!

If there was an Alien mod with this atmosphere...

This feel, but with the Aliens theme instead of the creatures/demons seen here, would have been SWEET back in the day. It still would be today, but what I'm seeing in this footage would've easily bested the horror experiences we got with Alien vs. Predator for Jaguar or Alien Trilogy for PC/PSX/Saturn. This would have gone toe-to-toe with Alien versus Predator (2000) which was released much later if you imagine Aliens and Predators running around instead of these things!

The game feels a little unfinished. Where are the peeled hands? Where are the eyeless pinkies? Where are the creatures that grow out of dead marines? The game feels unfinished almost like if Some of the monsters have been cut out.

Without a sound card, Doom was much closer to this. No music and harsh sounds. It was a horror game when I played it in the 90s.

I love both aspects of either run and gun chaos and survival horror the universe is perfectly set up to cater for both,

One night silent hill, half life, stalker, doom drink too much vodka and that ended up with sex

just start to run by 200km/h and dodge the monsta as usual

reverb physically correct?

Would be great to have throwable flares for emergancy lighting, but make them really rare. Would be v dramatic and scene setting gor sweaty moments

Can you light the barrels on fire?

Doomguy is afraid of flies? This mod needs a weapon mod of one of those electric fly swatters and you can even smoke flies on it.

Can you play it in VR ?

Makes me think about "Alien Trilogy", and if someone had made that properly survival horror; it's actually crazy how the PS1 Alien Resurrection actually was a fairly solid survival horror action shooter; unlike Alien Trilogy.
