I love it when revenants decide to jump an arachnotron.

And I thought I was done watching decino play BTSX today.

I never get bored of this techbase style; it’s very reminiscent of Quake 2, which I’m sure you’ve mentioned before. It’s be great to see you play Q2, come to think of it. Until then, keep blasting these demons! Big love.

@M L maybe then you like BLACK RAIN. It is map 12 of community chest 3 and it's made by one of the members of the BTSX team. A huge tech base map with a high monster count and fun to play. It's also Nr. 99 of doomworlds 100 most memorable maps. 😉

'I'll replace you with tomatoes' would be a better name for the map.😉 Straight and linear "little" map compared to the one before. and the change of some textures is also very welcome. Great playing and thanks for sharing decino. 👍👊🤘❤ Interesting fact. For all players who own just freedoom 2 and not doom 2. They can play episode one and I think episode two also through freedoom 2 with the original monsters, weapons and soundtrack of BTSX. Only the weapons, the monsters and doomguy using the sounds from freedoom 2. I tested this with GZDOOM. But better buying Doom 2 for a few bucks for the full enjoyment. 😉😀

Even while the visual design blends together a bit, it is still orders of magnitude better than vanilla. Levels here actually look like a space base, not like a random mashup of doors, corridors and walls

That one revenant serving up fireballs and punch for the low low damage roll of 65 total. Thank god for mega armor.

I like this level because it seemed like it was a foundry or geothermal area. And I noticed the boxes in the lava too. Cool stuff.

The fact that an arachnotron was punched to death by a couple of boneheads is reason enough to believe it did not watch enough Rick and Morty.

Imagine being a demon and being given immense strength, durability, potential to cast fire balls or balls of pure plasma as projectile attacks.... only to have ur punishment be u will never use these powers for any selfgain nor will they have been of any help. You will only suffer at the end of one dudes shotgun barrels and some how his inability to be killed would drive the unnatrual demon moral into sheer anarchy plunging their ranks further into chaos. doomguy, would be seen as even more unnatural as those from the plains of hell.... thats a way to go guys.... if u pardon the pun.. thats a hell of a way to go.. lol

Let's hear it for "Best Supporting Actor:" Mr. Arachnatron! Yayyy!

The aesthetics are great, but I also appreciate the tight spaces and monster placement inside. Some very tense revenant action in there. Good stuff.

Finally, a breather level. Up to my skills, managed to beat it!

Man the people who take the time to create these maps are so damn clever. I love to see the creativity of so many people in so many different aspects. Then people play these maps and love it or hate it it's a good map.

Decino- "This mega armor should keep us alive for quite a while" Gets hit twice with revenant missiles and gets punched in the face for a 65% reduction of said armor almost instantly... Revenant- "Not today I think Mr. Decino! AHHHHH"

As long as they don't become impossibly difficult, sure.

What does an archvile do I always kill them before they can do their thing how much damage does it do how much health does it have etc.

Last 2 lvls looks like they kinda came from Star Wars game or smth.

I'm playing this game on the switch and this map is same but the enemy placement is different I'm playing on ultra violence difficulty as well no pain elemental or baron of hell at the beginning of the level. I've watched your video for the hidden secrets in every level.

@@decino classic doom is way harder than doom enternal especially on nightmare monster respawning ever 10 second and limited medical pack and ammo. Doom enternal heal and restores ammo for ever glory kill you get.

But i see In doom eternal doomslayer is more stronger anger not like normal soldier in doom 1 & 2 hes kinda simple i guess. He kills a lot of demons but hes simple.

What method do you use to force pistol starts on every map? I was able to do it with a setting in Paradise v2, but don't see it on other WADs much.

I have a question. Do you use your mouse at all? You don’t use mouselook but do you do the old school both hands on keyboard or do you look left and right with a mouse? This is potentially a really stupid question but growing up I started off on Zdaemon but quickly got spoiled by skulltag so I just always used mouselook for everything, I recently got back into old school doom through watching speedruns and almost no one mouselooks

I look left and right with a mouse. Demo-compatible source ports do not allow mouselook.

What code did you use to enable the co op Monsters? Will it work with Gzdoom?

With PrBoom+ you can launch the game with the -solo-net parameter. With GZDoom just type "map map01 coop" in the console.

To avoid copyright issues. Most map names are derived from album and song titles from the band Guided by Voices.
