When I first loaded up Doom Eternal and this track played my jaw dropped. I literally had to sit back and listen to it play. How many games out there can say that it caused players to literally stay in the main menu to listen to an awesome track like this :D

Perhaps, in the Eternal time that we count with, we as a species might find out how to escape death, avoiding every theory about total erradication of existance as we know it (by this i mean every possible escenario in where all humans go extinct, like the death of our own star, or even things as fatal and horrible as the big crunch.). Nothing is certain, and even though the odds point out to horrible things, don't hurry to lose hope. (Apologies for any grammar mistake commited during the comment, english is not my native languaje) Also, in the case of avoiding total erradication, and always continuing to exist, remember, DOOM is made by us humans, witch are ETERNAL, witch translates to DOOM being ETERNAL.

I tried doing ultra-nightmare once...I lost my sanity that day

The first melodies, 0:00-0:40; the whistling essentially; are so perfectly defining. One of the rare moments where the artist really hits the nail with an unmatched precision on the head. After all, there has to be a reason why i catch myself sitting in the main menu over and over again just to internalise this melody. The rest is exceptionally good too, of course, but these first melodies always fill me with joy. I bought the game yesterday and will start to really play it today, on the nightmare difficulty of course. Wish me luck, may Doom be eternal.

For some reason, this music doesn't get me pumped up at all. Instead, it makes me feel calm and relaxing instead. Instead of making me head-banging intensely, it just makes me vibing calmly. I can literally meditate to this music !

One thing I love about the doom games is that, their soundtrack is so kickass that, even the lobby theme (something which is usually kept a bit more low key due to its uses) is still a great score and still has alot of good beat to it. Even though Helldivers II is obviously unrelated to Doom, I can't help but imagine the potential for it to be a setup for a unique opportunity for how "The Doom Slayer" came to be, prior to Doom 3! "I've killed bigger, and worse, than _you..."_

Ok I shit myself when opening up the game for the first time and hearing this start screen music. No, not because "It's so good," even though it still is, but because of the.. *shudder* rESEMBLANCE to the Godzilla creepypasta, the one with Red and the three notes that whistle at the beginning sounds EXACTLY like that.

I can’t tell u how many times I let this play like I loaded up this and I didn’t even press continue to the game menu I stayed on this screen and sat back in my gaming chair listening to this and I would say the opening tag line in a menacing voice “rip and tear until it is done” and I would say it to myself

Was going to like it until I realized it was at 666 and changing that would be a crime

Its a shame we will never hear this once we play the game now, because of the update; why didn't they just leave it in?!
