It’s great to see developers totally in tune with what their game is and what it’s supposed to be. I have no doubt this game will give a great experience while kicking my ass.

Anything doom related with hugo martin is a must watch XD
Honestly, it's no big secret thst the multiplayer playable demon roster will include archvile, marauder, manc, rev, and pain elemental... among others. Slayer's Club has alt skins for these guys! I love how they're quick to credit "And the production team," when he refers to Marty and Statton as the guys who made 2016! ;)

Doom Eternal literally just looks like Doom 2016 but expanded and batter in every way.

I think patience might be easier to obtain than a time machine.
I swear! Of the game developers, Marty and Hugo are one of the only ones who actually know the definition of a sequel!
VERY smart move to increase demon count and no gore nests, that got boring after awhile. Looks like Eternal will be harder and more of an old school doom. Doom 2016 is still awesome, Eternal I am guessing will be much much better.

How do people keep saying it's going more old school? With '16 and even more so in Eternal, there are tons of mechanics they have added for the purpose of bringing it to the modern day. How does any of this progression (which I think we can all agree is being done at a very high level) lean towards this "more old school Doom experience" I just dont get it lol.
They seem way more low energy than they were with 2016. I hope the guys are ok. I hope they’re happy with the game.

The interviews where they are high energy about 2016 were after launch mostly. They are still working on it, so it makes sense.
It's so nice to see Scott again. Used to watch him for years on EP Daily and Reviews on the Run. Great panel!

@@stalkerzhs1864 Episode 2 of the classic Doom is all about hell taking over Deimos and we can see how parts of the facilities have sorta mixed with hell structures. My guess is that's what they're going for here. It's been a while since the demonic invasion in Mars so by now the demons have made it look more like home.

MetalGamer um...they’ve added a TON of new lore to the new dooms. The old games are not necessarily gonna provide definitive answers about what’s going on in the newer games

The old games are just the old games, DOOM 2016 was a reboot therefore new lore, old games don't hold any sway.

@@Keyecomposer You'd be surprised how much is being adapted from the old games. Doom 2016 might seem different, but it's roughly the same structure. If they really were throwing everything away, why would we be going to Phobos in this game. It could've been any other place

I want Coop and a Quake tie in with the ID extended universe. also doom 2016 armor customization along with new skins like they are already doing it.

It’s pretty obvious they’ve taken inspiration from the Quake games in designing some of the new enemies and environments. Plus, the quake games are completely unconnected to each other so doing a quake tie in would be a bit tricky.

I'm sad we still haven't gotten a stright answer as to wither of not the HUD will be customizable, i'm sorry but i don't agree with him saying that an Arcade game can't be immerisve, immersive just means you forget the world around you and are completely in the game that can happen with a game like DOOM and 2016 achieved that, Eternals Hud is just ugly, i just want them to make it optional, there was nothing wrong with 2016's HUD, i had no problem knowing how much ammo i had and health and didn't need it in Neon green for me to see.

Someone should ask this at quakecon regarding to battlemode. Can you choose to be a archvile? Also, can you have 2 of them at the same time?

Why is Cillian Murphy disguised like that with glasses and why does he have that weird american accent?
I know I'm kind of being picky, but I am not 100% digging the grapple. When you grapple an enemy, why is the enemy not also pulled toward you? They could have fudged it and made you grapple the surface next to the enemy. Well, whatever. Video games.

If the grapple pulled enemies towards you that would be a vital few seconds of reduced mobility that, on any decent difficulty, will result in your death. Grappling to enemies makes more sense with Doom's 'push-forward combat' formula.

because you can propel yourself and zoom across the environments with it that way.

Because it's easier to make an enemy grapplable than it is to make every flat surface grapplable. Also, do you like my word "grapplable?"
PLEASE take away the sounds Doomguy makes when he takes damage. It was way more badass how he silently tanked damage in DOOM 2016

All these interviewers are so useless, always asking the same questions. No one ever asked, for instance: Is there DOOM 2016 style traditional Multiplayer, or only Battlemode? (which would suck)
