When it comes to music, our generation was the best. This is memory lane.
Listen up folks.. This is when music was music. Not the crap they give us nowadays. I would give anything to go back...

But it had white and black kids starting to hang out an find common ground in music, cars, clothes. We idolized black cats. The Commies inspired riots and The Civil Rights act of 64 put a damper on the progress made in 50s and 60s

They wore clothes and lyrics we could understand , not filthy vaulgar language that most of the world accepts , sad ! The best era gone !
sadly most of these artists have passed, Im so glad I got to see most of my favorite groups from that era at Westbury music Fair over the years
I did not know that The Brooklyn Bridge recorded 16 Candles, so did a google search, actually it was first recorded when Johnny Maestro was with The Crests. I was more a 50's child, with 5 older siblings, the first 3 of those 50's so I grew up listening to their music.
God bless all these souls who entertained us for many years. Angels in disguise
This is the only music worthy of listening to the harmony and memories keep me going
Love that music forever, I am 76 and love every song ! Takes me back to the late 50's and early 60's.

So many have died since this was aired. Maybe all. Loved them all.
My favorite number was the Del Vikings Come Go with Me. 9:16 And it always amazes me how many beautiful women can be found on violins.
I am 76but I was just teleported back to the 1950s and 1960s. I think I just will stay around. Thanks so much for the fantastic music.

I am a 82yo gramma. I was 13 when I found JOCKO, a disk jockey from philly(?). Heard BO DIDDLEY . I NEVER LOOKED BACK. I went thru all other bands and singers, British Invasion, fell in love with the guitar solo, hated rap, cause you can’t dance to it! I still LOVE do wop because I become a Bobby soxer again when I hear it. LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL! God bless all the artists.
Great memories of a time when music was the best.
The greatest music ever made
When you think about it all started with kids on the street singing rock and roll in the 1950’s. So many of them had such good singing voices. That, in itself is amazing! It’s true American culture. No where else in the world was this happening. It’s home grown American exceptionalism! This is the music that spawned the Beatles and everything else that followed....
@richardcline1337

billmitchell3329, PLEASE! The drugged out Beatles couldn't handle this kind of music. I seriously doubt any from the British invasion would have a clue what this real music was all about. Clean, great harmonies, no foul language, just straight music at it's finest!
Best music ever!!❤
This should have tens of millions of views and committed to the National Archives / Library of Congress.... We are losing our culture if we do not fight for it. Back in the 90s, there used to be plenty of golden oldies (pre-1964 British Invasion) radio stations. Now they are extinct.

Great belt buckle polishing music. Love The Great Pretender
All they needed was a microphone and not all the theatrical nonsense going on the stage. Their voices were great and they were sexy. Pure romance.

The sound of music that today's artists owe their careers to
