The original copyright for Janet's recording is with A&M Records, which is now owned by Universal. The publishing was jointly owned through Jam and Lewis' company Flyte Tyme Tunes (Universal does the bookkeeping and sends them the checks), and Janet's company Crush Club Music. This performance is Donyea's, and I hope Universal recognizes genius when they hear it! They should let him walk through the vaults and have some fun... I want to know how classic Motown would sound with his approach.
