He is a genuine poet and musician who honestly expresses his true beliefs and values. ❤
A great singer and songwriter who has never been given the credit he deserves. Thank you Donovan.
Amazingly outstanding! So enjoyable! Thank you Donovan God bless you and everyone
I have known this song for many years .some how listening to it late at night in a world shattered by covid it means so much more to me.
This song is my wife Mary Jane and mine, i learned the song in 1971 to impress her with what i thought would be impossible to have, "HER" MY MARY JANE, GOING ON 54 years, i definately thought " AH BUT I MIGHT AS WELL TRY AND CATCH THE WIND" Now i know just how luck i had been to not only catch her, but be with her 54 and counting! So if you think its imposible, just remember she was thinking catching me would be imposible, Thank you with great respect to you and ours "DONOVEN!
perfect. It was another time, folks. A gentler, more thoughtful, more socially connected time (in real ways, not media-generated ways) Lots of women loved this young man and he loved a few back.

I was really in love with Donovan, when I was 17. I lived in the Netherlands....
Such a bittersweet song. Unrequited love, yearning for what you can't have.

Yours is the best comment on in this thread. No trying to dress it up with something, just recognizing it is another version of his popular song that had so much radio play in those days. As much as I liked the original version, hearing this one is a real treat. Like you said, beautiful.
one of the greatest of the singer-songwriters to come out of the sixties.
From an unapologetic old hippy - I love this song and I think this Video is wonderful - thank you xx
simply beautiful--I play this in memory of my beloved brother--simply beautiful

He is wonderful...I saw him in Edmonton in the late 70's wearing that very same shirt and his guitar with the stars on it. He had named his guitar....but I can't remember what he called it.
This song fuckin' kills me. It's so beautiful even when you're not in love.
Better times & better memories
What a singer what a song never grows old .
I was lucky enough to catch him in concert in 1988....
Love this Guy's music, 👍
Donovan, should of got a lot more exposure than he did, with songs like this, a true master..
What a MARVELOUS Voice, So Soothing!!
This is one of my great heroes.
What a wonderful time of my life
I think this is Donovan's masterpiece. I first heard it at age 14 and thought if ever I could play even/only 1 song, it would be this.
This man was a major part of the Sixties. He may not be remembered much but Donovan was there before the Beatles, then he accompanied the Beatles to Rishikesh, the sanctuary of The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Not remembered? You must be joking. He's only not remembered by those who are no longer alive.
I adore this song! Love listening to it! Thank you so much for posting!
Hail Donovan! A true troubador.
What a beautiful generation. Wish I grew up in that era. I'm jealous!
One of my favourite songs, if not “the” Ever!
O I am 14 again in Art school full of teenage angst and a growing awareness of myself. This lovely song has always been special to me.
Absolutely great thanks for sharing
How would u not fall in love with him and the song💕🤩
Totally Awesome...Thanks For Sharing This!!!!
The people of his generation were lucky to have seen and heard him sing. The music of today doesn't have the substance as the music of yester years. I envy my parents.
Breath-taking !
how beautiful is this song
Transcendent music, ethereal voice = heavenly.
To add to Jo Bodley's comment-- Memories of good times long ago are what makes an aged hippy happy. Preserve your memories, there all that's left you. P.Simon.
Jo-Ann Isom: We used to have a blast ,"Trying to catch the wind!!" Donovans music will always be so tender and sweet but as soon as you hear it you are transported straight back to how far out it used to be!!!! We were SO lucky to be able to dig those days!!!! SO RIGHTEOUS....
